Xidas/fatcat/penske. I'd rather have baller shocks on the street than a baller turbo. Hell I'm thinking of ASTs for the daily just for the better ride quality.

Scrappy, you may be right about not getting either, and just going cheaper on both accounts.

I've read how awesome the XIDA's are, but for a guy coming from a stock NB suspension, and from my 97's FM springs + AGX's, it may be better to have blissful ignorance on how they actually feel. This way I don't know what I'm missing, and I'm sure the VMAXX's would still feel like a decent step up. Or Tein Street Advance.......idk I'm terrible at decisions.

And for people worried about blowing transmissions apart, I already have a 6speed waiting to go in. I don't beat on my car as much as others, which is probably why my 170k mile 5speed has put up with 250+whp for 20k miles in my 97. This includes track days, autocrosses, and 1 drift event (I was terrified the whole time I would break something).

I suppose until I drive a XIDA's car, I'm leaning towards EFR.

You are welcome to drive either of my cars again on ASTs if you want to ponder. Why don't you come over right now and drive my car to pick-up some beers?

I love my xidas all the time, I sorely wish I had power only at the track (street driving is nice and tame). Unfortunately though, at the track I tend to get a little bored between corners simply because it feels like I'm on cruise control with my stock 1.6.

Eh, just get both and be happy

Whatever suspension allows for proper weight transfer off the line and accommodates enough travel for a 245/60/13 slick

and turbo

Edit: why do I even have a miata?

Poor Josh. His little island is flat except for potholes, has no curves, and has barely enough room for a quarter mile blast and a quick slowdown, lol. But he is closer to his home track than I am to mine. I just signed up for Homestead-Miami Speedway on May 11-12 with NASA. Come sign up too and we'll show you what Miatas are designed for, hehehe!

I'm having a blast on a cheap turbo. I hated driving my car when it had a crappy suspension. I only have Bilsteins now, but it is significantly more enjoyable. I wish I could afford to spend the cash on Xidas because I know it would be so much more fun. I don't DD my car, but if I did use it for dual purposes Xidas would make it that much better to live with.

Better suspension doesn't effect reliability. More HP does. Argue it. I dare you.
Racelands are better than blown stock ****, until the shock shaft breaks in half (better suspension, worse reliability).

Take out the rotary from the RX7 FD, add LSX (more power, more reliable).

Drove/rode in Hustlers daily.
Looks like my mind has changed on the situation.

Maybe I'll just space everything out so it doesn't hurt so much at once. I still love the EFR idea, but damn, I'm blow away with the XIDAs. Anything that can be that comfortable on the street and still dominate on the track seems like a simple decision.

Still want turbo, but seems this may be a good alternative to add new found "fun" to the car.
