Default help miata won't start

to keep it brief-brokedown on parkway. Miata will not start, fuel pump powers on when key is in on position. No obvious lose or disconnected sensors/wires. Pulled plug wire on cylinder 1 inserted screw driver cranked for a few seconds saw one weak spark- happened a few times. On one occasion got a few good sparks car powered on then shut off about a minute later. Thinkin coils or igniter, but have been having alternator issues lately. also i have a megasquirt, 460cc injectors, and begi-s if it helps

one question, your kidding in your sig. right?

your alternator has little to do with you cranking your car, so thats not it...
sounds like an ignitor to me...since you already have MS, why not upgrade to COPs, kiss bad ignitors goodbuy rich whiteboy

now go spend your welfare check

search "Megasquirt + ignitor" and then ask that question again

I just read a few post, but it seems that people are messing up their ignitors while messing with ms. I have not looked at or changed anything on my megasquirt for a week or so and the car was driving fine. I was cruising on the highway today and the car died all of the sudden and i had to coast it to the side of the road.

So your car wouldn't start up because your crank angle sensor was bad? How did you determine what was bad?

I opened up megatune and decided to crank the car over and noticed I was getting no pulse width while cranking. That and i borrowed a friends 1.6 ignitor with no luck.

Nice troubleshooting
I love the fact that via megatune you can see absolutely everything that's happening and troubleshoot almost any problem via the gauges.
