Default I love COPs

Got mine today... along with the connectors to make it easy.
They're out of an 02 Corolla.
Still looking for a spare ignitor... but am gonna fab up the wiring harness in the meantime.
I'm also taking a look at the various ways of engineering the plate to hold them all in place.

I like my simple "over" plate. I was too lazy to make a nice undermount one

OK, since I'm going to source a spare ignitor to do this thing, is there room inside it to splice the Yel/Blu-Blk/Wht-Blue+1kohm... or are people putting the resistor somewhere in the harness?

Also, for the seperate ground wire protruding from the harness, should I ground it to the same grounding bundle I'm using for the MS/LC1... or should I find a seperate place on the head?

Sam, the resistor is for standalone. Don't think you'll be needing it for parallel.

Ben, I'm running Megasquirt "By Braineak" Standalone... sweet!

Anyways, just finished up the COP side of the harness, left about 5 feet extra to be sure I had enough to make it to the ignitor. My spare (to gut) ignitor should be here Tuesday. I'll be rocking this shiz by the weekend.

I've still gotta fab up a hold-down plate... working on the design.

Also, did anybody have to Dremel a little off the sides of the COP to get it to seat down completely. I think mine are about 1mm wider than the channel and they're not fully seated. I'm also looking forward to pulling the valve cover (to clean and affix studs) and checking the valvetrain on this magic 200k mile motor.

i dremeled the **** out of mine to fit the 01 cover. I also had the bosses for the original coils in the way but I didn't want to mod the valve cover to install the new setup. Now I might since I'll have a spare.
