There is a ND going to be a C&C in Northern VA on Saturday. I am trying to convince braineack to go and get a picture with a turbokitty decal on the car.

They wouldn't know how without a m.net garage article telling how to do it down to the last detail.

The ND section turned me off from the entire forum. I haven't gone back in forever.

I'm not a member over there. Nor on CR. Actually, this is the ONLY Miata forum where I'm a member.

that ****? The 94-97 dash is like the worst of them, its almost as heavy as an NB dash but almost as shitty looking as a 90-93 dash.

It's almost like it's a troll post, right?

Here's an idea, let's talk about the ND.

Wonder a bit on the CUP car and the "Global" MX-5 CUP.

IF $75k is a target point there will be were few interested outside the US (at least from EU).
Mazda have not made any appearance in motorsport in EU since 323 GTX in WRC and the win at Le Mans (local efforts but none noticeable from Mazda Corp).
There are many tree shade race firms in the UK with more cred than Mazda when it comes to racing here.

With that said there are many cooler options than a simple MX5 for $75k, although the running cost will be higher.
A 5gen Camaro comes to mind (Howe built).

$35k would be more like it.

If you are talking USD, $35k doesn't buy you much of a new racecar unless you build it yourself. The Global Cup car is a lot more than an ND with a cage thrown in it. I do see your point as far as a series goes though. Mazda might have to subsidize and help grow every national series built around the car. Help make it part of any given ladder system with big cash or sponsorship. While solid and probably fun to drive, not fast, loud or sexy enough for most small teams to use as a tool for their marketing campaigns.

Nope. I don't have multiple accounts on any forum, actually.
