miataturbo.net-like debauchery thread (about the ND or something)

Base is pretty close to the same, as is fully optioned. I also don't know anything about ND crash tests but I do know the car is stiffer than the NC and fare stiffer than the NA/NB. This from info supplied to me by representatives at Mazda corporate and a drive on a very twisty and lump road.

FWIW, Having heard from someone who is a very good driver that recently had a chance to drive both the FR-S and ND back-to-back on the racetrack, he said the ND is better in every way. I don't doubt that FR-S/BRZ owners will want to deny that a better lightweight and relatively cheap "fun" car exists. Can't wait to drive the ND myself.

I'm assuming this is the Ceramic Club with BBS/Brembo package? Impressive, to be sure.
We will have our first one at the dealer within a week or two... But it's going to be an automatic

I'm thinking base model. The LSD is only $500 from the dealer but it's a cheap Auburn type. Ours will get an OS Giken. Xidas already in the works. Wilwood already has a front BBK in the works. Rear calipers are already aluminum. Tooling already happeing for 6UL's. No reason for me to pay $3400 for the Brembos & BBS. That leaves a base model as our logical starting point.

But you only get one USB port versus two.
I ordered the BBS/Brembo package because I hate money and it's going to be a DD/autox car. Also, I require plastic go fast bits. The BBS wheels are going to be stored carefully after once I get some RPF1s and paint them bronze/gold (or 17x7 6ULs if the stars align). I haven't been to the the Western NC/TN mountains in a while, and I'm excited to take delivery.
That said, the dealer is still sending me form letters asking what it would take for them to close a sale.
e: just thumbed through the owner's manual; they're actually recommending 10k miles/1 year oil change intervals. The future is now.
