I really like the intake track routing, and the turbo mani really compliments that. Almost makes me want to do the same trick.

This build makes everyone's car here look like shit in comparison. Almost makes me want to not even try, because no one can make a car any more bad ass than this. :vash: Damn you!!!

Only thing that could possibly be more bad ass would be the same car, but with a built LS1, but even then, maybe not as bad ass since this should be making as much or more power than a lightly modified LS1, with less weight.

You have been elevated to Miata God status in my book.

so i have alot going on right now(decided to build an engine for a friend) so we'll see how close i get to starting by the end of the month

but i have everything i need ordered for the most part
on its way is

greddy water temp gauge
autometer ES 3 3/4 tach
4 autometer roll bar gauge pods
some gold heat reflective film and hose heat sleeves
and vacuum line kit

i started working on un tangleing the wires and running some vacuum lines and seting up sending units and new sensors.
good news is i tested the fuel pump, jumping the grn and fp. bad news is i got a fuel leak on one of my fittings @20psi i need to figure out. prob just need to snug it up.

here are some pics

some of the lines ran, you can see the boost pressure sending unit for the greddy gauge.

What you got there for a passenger seat?

I did a similar gauge install. The temp gauge is to the left of the steering wheel. I prefer the larger easy to read gauges.

ctdrftna 04-04-2010 10:49 AM

its a buddy club passenger seat

as far as gauges, iv grown to hate autometer. they are just a wiring disaster. i had purchased some old style greddy 52mm early on in the build. atleast they have plug in harnesses to clean up the wiring. i would have loved to buy they 60mm sm gauges or defi's with the daisy chain. something that has a central control unit and one harness to each gauge

Do you have plans for stripping and cutting the dash?

ctdrftna 04-05-2010 08:16 PM

ive been trying to keep the wiring harness as intact as possible to eliminate problems and electrical gremlins. the had to trim some of the metal dash suport to clear the cage. but thats about it. there is nothing behind the dash, the car doesnt run heat or a/c or anything like that.

did some more wiring, and some other stuff, and mounted some more gauges

got some odds and ends done tonn. getting the axle nuts was a fail(not the big one) the hardware store didnt have the right pitch. i got my gauge ground straightened out, and got my reverse sensor and neutral switch working right. decided to take some pics of the gauges.

im pretty happy with the steering angle considering the tires are hitting the sway bar with these wheels
