Pretty slick, That would take forever to make if you had to do small cuts (like you have to do with a crappy lathe/ crappy tooling)
I cnat wait to see how its gonna be installed in the car |
That is 6 min.Cnc Job,7 hrs manual is a bit long.I really want to see how this looks when done.I have something like That too.

i want!

The AN fitting is pretty slick, was that the reason for making it from scratch? Otherwise this would have saved you a lot of time,
M-Tuned In Line Thermostat Housing with T-Stat M-Tuned What's the ID on it anyway? |
yeah, i was cutting at .05 a pass. my boss doesnt want me cranking the rpms, so i have to turn at a slow feed rate. and the chuck jaws are shit, he machined ten diff diameters into them, so i was only grabing on like a 1/2" i didnt want to push it, and i didnt want to put in a live center. once i got it in the bridgeport it went pretty good. i didnt have a 2 flute ball endmill of the right dia, so i had to use 4 flute, so that took a little longer. the pics dont do it justice. it looks really really nice. the mtuned thing isnt what i want. i have a vmount so i am gonna be putting in a fill, so that its the highest point in the cooling system. no one makes one to my liking so im making my own. if i had a cnc this thing woulda been done in an hour or so.
|
also its -16an, thats like .875 or something ID
|
From what I have seen so far, you know what the fuck you are doing.
