He didnt do that for battle scars. He is a top ******* on the east coast. It was a D1 event. He was driving agaainst the best *******s in the world. They would likley kick your ***, in your car, driving any style you would like

Wow, this is getting sad and ruining what appears to be a quality build...
I for one am not a fan of ********, but nor do I hate on it. I think it's like anything else really; has it share of idiots, but also its share of real enthusiasts. Sometimes I do see something that I like, and other times I just don't pay attention if I dont.
Turns101 seems to actually be making some valid points here...the foremost being this isn't a "i like to driftz around the block yo" thread. Its what seems like a quality build, and the OP is a serious person working on a serious project.
I for one am admiring your work. Ar the first pics I was wondering where this might go, but as I read on I was just nodding my head in appreciation.
Good luck, please keep updating as you go and please throw some more shots of the car, loving the interior.

This thread is going way of topic.... ctdriftna, I think what your pioneering here is pretty cool. I am excited to see the finished product. Maybe one of these days we can get a meet going here in CT. My only other Miata friend moved to Texas this year. I promise I wont steal your **** either.

I would listen to BenR in regard to the ow end power and bogging out. Its horrible ripping it up into a shrinking radius turn and rowing your arm away.

surfacing head
intake port
radius valve job, bronze guides,unshrouded valves
super tech +1mm valves,supertech springs and ti retainers. steel spring seat. shimmed up to specs for my cams
flow testing
flowed 247 cfm @ 28" of water @ .500 lift
integral r3 intake and r1 exhaust cams.
in= .490 lift 295 advertised duration ex= .458 lift 282 duration
clearencing for cams
head bolted down using arp studs, mazda comp shim under bucket solid lifter,supertech lash caps
cams installed
degreeing cams
all button'd up
