yeah man with the lathes we got in our shop we can turn 4-500 lb steel with ease. Taking half an inch cut from aluminum at 500-600rpm is like cutting butter with a hot knife.

so ignition turned out to be a pain in the ***

i ordered boundary engineering COPS from there site a few days ago, then today i got an email saying my money was refunded, and a message saying the he was to far back ordered and ****. then thankfully i came on here and found the group buy there for them(i didnt see this untill today, i assumed they were availible) thank god i saw that!!!! that company needs to get its **** together. so that was FAIL

next i was thinking AEM pencil coils with AEM twin fire CDI ignition..... i call my tuner to ask what his thought were on the ignition box, he says he has three of the fry on his dyno and they were junk... so thats out

he recomended M&W pro14 box. i dont have $900 to spend on ignition

sooo..... looks like toyota COP. im gonna order some brand new coils and go to the junkyard and get some plugs off a car there. and make my own harness and mounting plate

Good call on the no-go with the AEM twin fire. They are indeed junk. We blew up 2 13B-REWs before we figured out that the damn ignition was causing random misfires and blowing them. That was a costly learning experience.

Hugely off topic but in this image it shows a throttle wheel with multiple pick-up points for the throttle cable. Did it come on the throttle body? Did you source it separately? Heck - did you fab it? Where can I get a couple?

I thought some one sold that wheel by it self. I dont remember if it was begi or brperformance or some one else since it was long ago when i saw it.

From memory they had few different designs so you can get one that is very rough on the lower pedal but very fine on the higher end or vise versa.

good **** for this weekend
got 95% of everything to do my ignition. i need to stop at radio shack i may not be able to make the mounting plat yet but we'll see what happens.
also im gonna wire up the injectors after swaping clips and re-looming the harness and extending wires for my coolant temp sensors. and i will be mounting the t-stat housing, lastly im gonna order the rest of the stuff to finish up the cooling system like a fan, overflow tank, fittings, hose, some other odds and ends.
