A new fastback top coming to the Miata market....
I hope there's still updates going on for this.
The initial photoshops were very promising, thread began getting hilarious, got back on track and it's looking good again.
JJ, what kind of foam did you use on that rear spoiler? It looks pretty interesting to use.

Its honestly not doing it for me. It still looks like someone just took a dump on the back of the car and smoothed it out. But compared to what you started with it looks worlds better. The 1/4 windows still look out of place and awkwardly shaped. Hoping for more revisions.
Its a rough prototype, but the only revisions you will see are going to be to fit and finish.
NA version will have straight bottom line on 1/4 windows and flatter trunk "hump".
Also working on spoiler 1/3 the size of the whaletail.

Prototype trunk has sloppy fit and uses leftover "fathatch" hatchback hinges we adapted and used last minute to get the prototype on the road. We have proper hinges made now. Same thing with the trunk lock loop....so excuse the sloppiness under the trunk lid.
The wing uses standard pedestals mounted at the lotus 19" width. The APR "standard" 29.5" width would also work well as it would mount through the double later (in green) between the trunk reinforcement and the gutter u-channel. The deckled is quite sturdy though, and I would think the mounting config you see would be adequate. I also mounted the wing 4" forward so it would clear the smaller 1/3 size ducktail we are working on. Without the ducktail I'd move it back at least 2". The APR threaded stock on my wing is about 1.5" too short for this configuration because of the angle of the bases.

Definitely looks tons better (great) with the wing, and looks good with no wing. I do not like the big 'whale tail' spoiler so much.
Nooo... you need to get it on MY car so I can go race with it and show everyone how awesome it is
