Aren't your wheels gunmetal? If so, I think it could look badass.

hustler 03-05-2009 11:07 AM

i wish I could get everything on my car done in the same nickel finish as 6ULs.

Beautiful. I wish the pictures weren't so dark, so I could see more detail.

Lev - How is it that your CAS is on the intake cam?

I have a spare cover I'm cleaning up for paint. I'd like it to match the supercharger, which is black anodized aluminum. Is there a decent flat black paint that will hold up? I tried repainting my BBQ grill with some high temp stuff that looked good for a while, but it started flaking off after a while. Crinkle just doesn't do it for me, I want a smooth finish.

Enjoy getting your fingerprints removed every time you open the filler on a hot engine? I did that once (aftermarket oil filler cap) and will never do it again. That think would literally be hot enough to burn your prints off for up to half an hour after shutoff. I'll take my plastic OEM cap.

I understand the first rule of laboratory work; hot glass looks the same as cold glass. -- I use a shop rag...

(Please note: levnubhin is using the same style cap.)

Exactly! A shop rag can work wonders.

AC and PS? I thought you were a man?

wayne_curr 03-05-2009 11:46 PM

I almost learned the very hard way how dangerous it is having exposed cam gears when working on a running car. Was trying to unplug the IAC and of course when it came off my finger hit the belt. Luckily it didn't do much more than take some skin off. I remember seeing a thread on honda-tech a while back where a dude lost part of his finger doing something similar.

I only have the lower cover removed, not even a cut valve cover.

yes, fix the cam gears...its a good idea to work on a spinning motor.

It always makes me feel better when I see more wires flying around under there than mine.

Nice Setup Rafa!

Few questions:

Did you have to remove the motor for that reroute? I was thinking about doing it the same way.

What turbo are you running?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. My valve cover will be on here as soon as I get my new battery for my shitty camera
