Default throttle cable adjustement

Is there an adjustment procedure, or a slack spec, for the throttle?

Just put on a new TB with vari TPS, and the throttle cable was slack, so I tightened it up some. It seems to work fine, but I'm curious to know if there is a factory procedure or technical spec I should know about.

You just want to tighten it so that it has a little up and down movement. More importantly, you want it to not stop before the throttle pedal is bottomed out, so you dont risk it sticking open or breaking.

1-3mm of deflection, that's all the service manual says.

it should be just tight enough that there is no slack, but no prevent the valve from fully closing.

Cool, thanks. It should be fine then.

Off to see Jerry @ DIY Autotune for fun MegaSquirt stuff!
