Maybe.... where are you in the ship queue? :-)

If someone wants to back out I'll take their spot in the queue as well :p

It's morning and I need coffee.

The solder guy is a 28 year old avionics professional. He is a very solid, detail oriented, time efficient guy. In the last 4 days he's slept about 10 hours between work and assembling these PCB boards. Lets just hope a plane doesn't fall out of the sky because he's made a mistake due to the extra work load and sleep deprivation. Each kit once it gets to us takes about 5 hours to do, and there is at least a 24hour drying time for the epoxy. That's why things are moving slow. We get a unit done, then we pot it. We might be getting 1 to 1.5 done per a work day where we can sit for 5 hours at a time. We estimated an hour to an hour and 45 minutes for each one. He is very good at PCB assembly. He's fast, and efficient, but there are a LOAD of components on each board not to mention the electronic control units in the boxes have to be programmed. I'm doing the harnesses and we're splitting duty. They are just coming along slow.

No updates on approximate ship dates. Just keep checking your email. we do send out tracking information. We have units done, and in the field we are working the list as quickly as possible. If anyone is running a Megasquirt or Adaptronic please let me know, those are quick to assemble compared to the stock units because there isn't nearly as much soldering.

"LOL. You guys are incorrigible. If it were me, I'd refund your money just to get you all to stop bitching."

Jesus Christ / Mohammed guys...this was a group buy / ramp up production for the benefit of all...MTnet included. Not a production run for fcuks sake...sorry, no affilation, etc.

Wow, didn't know it was that much work. Thanks for detailing that.

I run MSPNP9495 so that will be an easy one, relatively :)

Keep it up. Yes, I've had my coffee today :)

But it is possible to run the cops with a "stock" unit and a megasquirt too?

TravisR 09-02-2009 07:18 AM

Yea, the units with all the components on them run with ANYTHING. The standalone units run with just the standalone.

So it's been awhile....

Still moving we shipped units mon, wed and yesterday this week. Your number will come up soon if it hasn't already.

Can anyone confirm that they have received their order and successfully installed?

Travis, your description of this device says it will work on any ECU, is that entirely correct? Have you tested on the Link?

You have to keep in mind, that of the orders that were put in, most of the people are running power cards and are supercharged. Some how this got onto a supercharged forum and they went bonanza over the systems. There is actually only a pretty small amount from Miata turbo that have ordered.

There is only one ECU we've had problems with and thats the Hydra. The first orders that went out were for standalones (because as stated they are quick to build) that produced a 5v pulse signal. The Hydra for some reason was not putting out this 5v pulse, so i suspect it is using the stock voltage instead. In that case the hydra just needs a system with the amplifiers that we build into the universal boards. I have not tested that yet on a customer car but intend to do so this week. It is highly highly unlikely that the hydra is sending out any other signal then this, because if it was the stock coils would not function properly.

My exploits into the stock ecu using an o-scope have revealed so many things that people have not been catching. I would never never never run a COP on this car without an advanced digital ignition management unit and an oscilloscope. You will burn out coils. The signals output by the ECU are a precise mess.

no, just waiting :2cents:

jtothawhat 09-08-2009 05:53 PM

So wait, I have a AEM EMS...should this make my order move faster???

ViRuS2k 09-14-2009 04:11 AM

Any News from somebody?

Laur3ns 09-14-2009 04:16 AM

Where am I on the list? Shipped or when?

TravisR 09-14-2009 04:35 PM

Water line bursted, and have been putting a new one in. I will have more details after I finish tonight. Ofcourse refunds are open to anyone who is frustrated with the process. I wanted to make sure everyone knew that. These parts are also backed by a 100% unconditional gauruntee to work for 1 year. I feel thats important to state as well since this is a new part. Even though we've had all the brass sign off on it, you can't tell until the end user really beats on it.

thymer 09-14-2009 06:44 PM

Sorry to hear about the main. Do you think it would be possible to get some target dates out there for the various "styles"?

TravisR 09-14-2009 11:18 PM

Alright, I got it most of the way buried anyways. Yikes what a pain.

So right now the plan is to have all back orders caught up in the next month. Here is what I do know. The current manufacturing is two slow. We can't keep this up, and get every order filled. I have new orders that come in daily despite me telling people its going to be a month+, and although it doesn't matter to you guys who are much much higher up in line, I have to switch to another manufacturing service that doesn't consist of me doing the wiring looms, and the aerospace tech doing the PCB boards/potting. I have to tend to standalone orders, my regular work, and these wiring looms and that is just ending up letting everyone down. Clearly not a valid solution.

So what I would ask is to have everyone hang tight while I work something out that will end up getting the parts out faster. I'm tired of disappointing people, and I've got to get this fixed now so I don't continue to do so. As I have stated before refunds are available if you feel this is an unfair wait. The wait itself I'm hoping will be a steady delay while I sort and get samples from large scale PCB manufacturers, and then once a manufacturer is selected everyone will get there parts just like we previously hoped would happen with just Alex and I doing them exept they will have 25 workers who have nothing to do but putting these boxes together, and solid experience to do it quickly.

I will update as I know more.

If anybody from the original GB here wants out on this, I will gladly take your place. Just let me know if this is an option Travis.

Laur3ns 09-29-2009 01:55 AM

Five days Travis, what's your status? Have put names on the tasks in the process yet? How many of these units do you need to get out yet?
