After the two day waiting period, I can finally pick mine up today! I'm super pumped! Its plug and play donut day.

Whats the advantage to using old wires for your wideband?

I don't have to run any wires through the firewall that way. I'd like to do the same thing with the EGR wires for VICS control.

Reverant 04-05-2012 01:15 PM

I guess you can do that, sure. Remember to disconnect the stock O2 and EGR.

run wideband under the shift boot and win at life

The car runs and the base-tune is pretty damn good.

I did one ---- up though and forgot to cut the black/wht coil pack wires. The good news is that the tach seems to work normally for the 30 seconds the car ran on both the coil and the MS driven tach, lol. I immediately cut the wires though it's still a guess on long term.

Awesome! :bigtu:

WB cable is not long enough.

I want to do MS3 later this summer or next year in my turbo car and convert to sequential fuel so you'll have me as a repeat customer. This time I won't be such a pain in the ass, I hope.

midpack 04-11-2012 01:23 PM

The nice postal dude handed me a box from Greece this morning. This is going to be awesome.

Whats this about cutting wires? I thought it was a PnP situation.

I haven't had the chance to plug mine in yet as I'm waiting on my timming light to come in, but I didn't think there was any modifing to be done other than the one engine bay fuse. Im running a 1994 1.8L, no IAT and stock TPS. Please tell me your refering to your 1.6 and I don't need to cut up my ingition harness.

Reverant 04-11-2012 02:53 PM

Hustler had to cut his, since he wanted to run different coilpacks. You don't have to cut anything.

Reverant 04-11-2012 03:05 PM

Btw all the ECUs of the original group buy have been shipped, so this thread can now be locked. :)

hustler 04-11-2012 03:44 PM

Tell us what you bought with all the profit? We're counting on the eMS2 group buy to solve the Greek debt crisis. Then we'll lock the thread, lolol.

haha

RavynX 04-18-2012 06:36 PM

Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since I ordered mine. I'm anxious to hear when it's ready to ship. :D

Jesse, could you contact me via email at mikest at gis dot net as I have a question for you (also emailed you separately). I'm looking for MS for my CSP autocross 2000 car and have a few questions.

Sorry, I'm new here and can't PM yet.

FYI:
For anyone considering quality of service from a guy on the other side of Earth, I've had some minor issues on my car and Dimitris was kind enough to make a new firmware for me, then use a "Netmeeting-like" program to run through the firmware burning process for me, recalibrate all the sensors, then make a few adjustments on the fly. He didn't have to because I was totally capable, but he was kind enough to do it for me all while I drank beer, sitting inside my car, with him taking care of it over wifi. He's also answered endless emails and reviewed several logs on my AC actuation problem which has in no way overshadowed the increase in performance or reliabiity I got from a stand-alone computer.

I will definitely replace my old MSpnp in my track car with an MS3 built by him.

RavynX 05-13-2012 07:35 PM

I'm still antsy to get mine. This coming Wednesday will make 2 months since I ordered it. I want to get rid of this Hydra so bad.

nile13 05-13-2012 11:33 PM

Why get rid of Hydra? What version is it? I might be interested, let me know.

RavynX 05-13-2012 11:34 PM

Version 2.5. It'll be on the For Sale section once I get the MS up and running.
