blast from the past. At one point my dad did the engines and was the throttle man for Buckshot, but this video is after his time with the team. 33' Sutphen

I treat my neighborhood squirrels to only the best. Lead. And not by shooting them either. Lead, an essential poor metal of every diet. Not sure why they eat it. It was originally a chunk used for melting down and forming into minie ball that got left on the back porch handrail. Now I want to leave it and see how long it takes for it to vanish. I'll soon have killer brain damaged squirrels roaming the block. So far, several pounds have been ingested in roughly the last year.

why don't you put it away somewhere they can't get to it.
incidentally, they chew on the "ignite" button of my grill for some reason.
I'll eventually get tired of seeing it and throw it away. And technically, I'm not directly responsible. It's those irresponsible squirrels that are to blame for eating my lead.Blame him!!!

Actually, I will go put it away. You are correct. I'll do my small part, even if it means not being able to entertain my dreams of having crazy squirrels running around biting people.

Aaah, Nixie Tubes.
The new ACS-64 locomotives officially begin regular service tomorrow on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor line.

I will, of course, continue not to employ their services, as the Empire Corridor is electrified only along a small portion of its length closest to Penn Station, and thus requires the dual-mode (diesel or third-rail) P32AC-DM locomotive which is unique to NYC-terminating lines.
