Slowly but surely locating and eliminating some of the more ancient server hardware in the facility. This creaky old Winchester-brand array was connected to a Linux machine I didn't even know we had, and which was being used for precisely one extremely trivial application because our chief meteorologist clings to old things which barely work out of sheer stubbornness. It had two failed drives and was making an awful noise, but was still somehow clinging to life.

G isn't a meteorologist, he's just on-camera talent. Technically he's a "Weather presenter. Most TV stations work this way, with one actual, trained Meteorologist, and then a few different on-camera presenters. Sometimes the Meteorologist will also be a presenter, but it's by no means a rule.

Our meteorologist is a very nerdy guy named Joe Punday, who has his HAM radio license posted on the wall in his office, and almost never goes on camera.
