Actually i wonder how well this would work. I remember seeing a documentary of smooth vs pinned golf ball and the pinned one was better.

I'm not sure how transferable this knowledge is, but Mythbusters did an episode years ago in which they covered an entire car in smooth clay, ran an MPG test, then dimpled the clay and ran another MPG test. Correcting for the weight differential (by putting the clay which was removed during the dimpling process into a box inside the car), fuel economy improved by around 11% with the dimples.

I doubt that makes any difference compared to the grooves typically left on intake runners. But I'd love to see some data on it. I'm seeing it more and more often on heads I do.

I keep looking at it and trying to figure out what's interesting. Does it look like a ***** when viewed from the air or something?

I used to work with that guy about 5 years ago. He's a really talented rally driver, lots of regional rally wins. But he does have his share of crashes too. I was really glad to hear both he and his wife/codriver were OK after that wreck

Holy ****! I knew you couldn't believe anything you see on video, but I didn't realize how readily it could be manipulated IN REAL TIME !!!
