[crazy good suspension video]

Watching that all I could think of was the relative viability of cupholders and this:

I have a lot of respect for people who run that race in stock VW beetles.

V8R hubs weren't even a twinkle in anyone's eye in 2013.

Look at the first comments in his video. He clearly states he was running V8R hubs, but had an early version with an "issue" that caused them to break, and he wish he'd known. They no longer offer those hubs.

Correct. I was at that event, my neighbor was riding with Keith when the failure happened.

Oh, well my bad. I didn't realize that V8R was on variant 2 of the hubs. :)

AIUI, the revision number is significantly higher than 2. :)

Bought a black Friday TV. Got a dang good deal on it, like 50% off. Cheap crappy off brand, but had somewhat decent reviews. Not as good as Samasung or LG, but decent.

Turns out it's DOA. Not a big deal, i'll send it back and get my money back. Worth a try, but i guess i'll go buy a TV not made by a Chinese child salve that's paid 3 cents a week. I'll get one from the Korean slave kid that gets paid 8 cents a week.

What rattled me the most is the placement of the logo. They couldn't even bother to center this on the TV. Now maybe i just notice these things, but man this really sticks out to me. Nothing says cheap like "we can't even be bothered to stick our logo on straight".

TCL 6-series are good shit. Not exactly a cheap crappy off-brand, you just done did got a bad one, probably in their cheapass 4-series line, yes? ;)

sixshooter 11-27-2018 05:33 PM

Don't be so critical! The poor kid who put the decal on is only 6 years old.

I heard TLC was good, but idk. This failure is common, not gonna shit on them too hard. To be honest, LG Samasung and TLC all use the same panels AFAIK.

It was this one.

No longer available.

Pulled the end caps off one of our 226 ton chillers today. By myself. With little to no lifting apparatus.
I employ a man twice my size and here i am dead lifting metal slugs.

I'm a little confused. The inlet cover looks like it's set up for a four-pass arrangement, but opposite cover doesn't have any division plate. That thing is pretty dirty top and bottom, what is your cooling fluid, and do you use sacrificial zincs?

Tricked ya.

Evaporator and condenser are both liquid. What you see is the "turn around" end of the condenser and inlet / outlet of the evaporator.

Condenser side is regular water with a chemical that i pay someone $700 a month to make sure we have no growth or nastiness. What you see is mostly iron scale and is easily chipped off. It's a two pass.
Evaporator side is the opposite as conventional. Since this is technically an "ice maker" machine we run it at 18F and we use glycol. Glycol runs through the 4 pass side.

New vs. not so old, but had a little fight with some chemicals.
