I'm sure you enjoy sliding your miata sideways. You also like to do burnouts.

Car doesn't have a build thread. I made that shirt art instead. ;) But I'll start one and link back in this post. It's just an exercise in letting bad ideas run wild between my miata-racer-pal and I with a $0 Miata.

I continue working as hard as I can to keep WGN-TV weird.
Right now, we're prepping to build nine new robotic studio cameras. It's a big project. ($800k budget) I'm setting up a work area in the junk room to construct them assembly-line style. Three big tables with all of the hardware laid out left-to-right in order of need as the assembly of each unit progresses. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...689f146afb.png |
Please tell me you're actually going to use items from the Ducks box.....

The last set of robocams we built used Cartoni P-70 pedestals, which have a distinct "front" to them. It's the part with the large red-anodized latch on it. This set of cameras is going to use refurbished 1980s vintage Vinten Fulmar peds, which don't really have any specific orientation. (They were built during an era in when each camera had a person behind it, so alignment was not a major concern. The cameramen just figured it out.) https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...14e7796dd1.png As such, the assembly procedure I am writing instructs that after the robot has been bolted to the pedestal and calibrated to the neutral (0°) position, one of the ducks is to be epoxied to the upper platform in alignment with the robot, and a label applied below it which reads "DUCK FACES TALENT." |
