I can't help but think that if I had been an Imperial officer anywhere within earshot of Tarkin when he made that initial order, I would have run as fast as possible to the detention area, opened Leia's cell, and shot her in the head several times. Tarkin didn't strike me as the sort of person who suffered disobedience lightly. |

Gas pumps should be able to fill on both sides; problem solved. It's pretty fascist of gas pumps to assume which side your fill port is on.
