I mean, I clearly remember when the first guy I ever hired turned out to be a total putz, and before firing him, I set it up so that this exact video played immediately as soon as he logged into his PC in the lab.
It was kind of a test of his character. And, to a lesser degree, a test of his ability to kill a process which automatically re-spawned. Which was really a test of his ability to solve unusual problems in general.
He failed on both accounts. Never even mentioned it. Just went straight to IT and had the machine re-imaged.
That was the day I knew that he had to go.
And, to this day, I remember that experience as a lesson. I did not do a good job of vetting that employee. That shame lingerers with me. But I grew as a result of it.
EDIT: Also, these were not the first memes. Not by far. They were merely the first ones to occur after .swf became commonplace.
