Whats even more scary is that 895 people at the time the picture was taken found his review helpful..

The tape measure doesn't lie! Reminds me of a Steven Wright quote I recently read in a joke thread. I'm likely paraphrasing but "being dumb means you don't know any better, stupid means you never will"

Those aren't boats. They're planes on water.

Shame on you Joe, for posting such false and especially misleading information on such a tech savvy forum.
We all know our cars are equipped with a delicate independent rear suspension, and trying to retrofit what is obviously a bulky live axle setup would upset the weight distribution to say the least.

Ha!

I'd never heard of such a thing before, but apparently it did exist, for a brief time, in the 1960s. Prior to the incarceration of its founder, Turbonique made a variety of n-propyl nitrate-fueled rocket / jet devices. Some were of the direct-thrust variety, others were shaft-driven.

This specific axle carrier is, well, it's exactly what it looks like. A diff housing with a jet engine bolted to it. A one-way clutch allowed the jet to apply approximately 1,000 HP directly to the pinion gear. It had precisely one throttle setting: "on."

They also produced turbine-driven superchargers, as well as a go-kart which clocked a 6 second quarter mile.

A six second quarter mile.

In a go-kart.

Needless to say, literally every single device ever made by the company is completely banned in all known forms of motorsport.
