Some folks will say it's a side-effect of vaccines, others that it's a symptom of "long-Covid."
Some will blame it on whichever politician they blame everything else on.
A few folks are absolutely certain that the answer is on Hunter Biden's laptop, but that we'll never see it because of the deep-state conspiracy organized by the lizard-people who secretly control a pizza restaurant in Washington DC and, therefore, the world.
There are those who believe that this is just one byproduct of a corrupt and failed public education system which cares more about sexualizing toddlers than about teaching critical-thinking skills such as what should and should not be circled in memes.
A growing number of people claim that it's a symptom of the lack of racial diversity in American software companies, which leads to products which subtly continue to encourage the same old patriarchal behaviors as we had during the Jim Crow era, such as circling things.
Me? I blame Canada.

Pedants, of course, will be quick to point out that the meme also contains a misused apostrophe, and yet only the circle ever seems to get talked about, and why the hell is that?
Invariably, someone will point out that Hitler was also fond of circling things, and be just completely outraged that this sort of behavior continues to be normalized even in our woke 21'st century world and this is why we need to cancel student loan debt and force Medicaid to pay for gender-confirmation therapy.
And then, of course, someone else will jump in with a clever meme with a football referee to attack the Hitler-syllogizer.
If the meme is posted on Miata.net, then you can expect the conversation to devolve into a debate about whether the circle should be chromed or covered with simulated carbon-fiber, with really strong, passionate opinions on all sides plus some know-it-all who can tell you exactly which special-edition packages came with a circle from the factory, until one of the ***** moderators locks the thread.
Here on MT, you'll be reminded that circling things was just fine until the US abandoned the gold standard, and so END THE FED.
For some folks, the circle is completely irrelevant because your non-vegan lifestyle isn't merely unhealthy, it's destroying the planet.
Did you know that if you make a circle on the floor (with tape, or a coiled electrical cord, or a hula hoop, or whatever), and a cat is present in the room, the cat will automatically sit in the middle of the circle?

Not sure if they're "consultants", "mercs" or "freedom fighters" but a lot of U.S. ex-military types seems to be in country. It seems like the world is running out of Russian-made military munitions to send Ukraine, so they'll need to be trained up on the U.S. stuff soon.
