WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- A Woodstock man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for making it look like a car parked on his street contained a bomb.

Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Lexington Avenue in the Towne Lake Hills subdivision, where they discovered a white Toyota Solara with signs on the windshield and rear window reading "Car Bomb" and "50 Foot Clearance I.E.D.," respectively.

Deputies shut down the street and tracked down the owner of the car, who said that the Toyota had a flat tire and that she intended to return to fix it later in the day. A K-9 helped officers determine that there was no bomb in the car.

The car was parked in front of the home of 43-year-old Anthony Richard Couse III. Investigators determined Couse, who did not know the car's owner, was upset that the Toyota was near his house; he made the bomb threat signs and posted pictures of them on his Facebook page.

Couse was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats and sending a false alarm. He is currently in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on $22,400 bond.
