I like to call out the ignorant domestic guys who say "a real engine" when there isn't much out there than can do what the 2J can on a factory iron block. Even the Titan 3 second ADRL 10.5 car runs a toyota iron block.

Just about all competitive offshore boats using outboards have embraced the idea of using 3 or 4 engines. It's all strategy to maximize your time on the water. They use two engines going out (usually prepping on the way) and all engines to get back to shore in a jiffy in order to get every last minute of fishing time in.
