Ah, but not the special flexy one that makes it possible to use the same i/c pipe routing you guys use That's the expensive part. But honestly, I couldn't source it cheaper from my local parts place.

Yeah, that one's $15.95 You can get them from NAPA, part FF251, I think it's exactly the same price.

Of course, if we had to ship it on its own without anything else, that would be fairly expensive - especially since it would be an international shipment with all the reams of paperwork associated with that.

Ok, does anyone else see the irony here? Some of us are giving an FM employee constructive ideas in a thread called "Corky is Smart". Not the miataturbo of old. Philip would have banned Keith

it's not hurting anyone....I do feel like banning everyone that keeps asking him for parts....GD just call them.

My thoughts summarized for me already from one of our sponsors:

WOW is just about all I can say as far as the questions from members of this site... Apparently reading or "looking around" is not the strong point of many members. I would say that 99.5% of the questions we have been emailed or PM'ed are already answered on our site. Although we love to talk to customers, there is a reason we have a FAQ section on the site. (Because we get about 100 emails a day asking the SAME things.. it gets old)

People are seriously afraid to pick up a ******* phone. They'd rather email, not get a response (because the recipients box has 5000 emails) then bitch that customer service sucks.

I prefer to place orders through email. I like have a record of the conversation. That and I don't like to do long distance from work.

simply letting the community know what you have to offer, those who are really interested will step forward...window shoppers will browse forums and ask other people what they paid...lol
id really like to see FM become a bigger part of this community since you guys are very knowledgable and experienced (we all know that), now just show us (those who dont frequent Mnet) that your heads are not over inflated (like i hear people say) and that you are here to help us boost the **** out of our cars
i am willing to put $$ forth that the attacks/bomb threats/booty calls will seize to an extent now that you are here to speak for yourself/FM
I *Love* to help people "boost the ****" out of their cars. FM engines, turbos, Hydras, it's happening more and more now that we have management that can do it. We just don't have the octane for it here so I have to live vicariously. I'd do it myself, but I don't think the headgasket in the 3.0 v6 in my Toyota 4x4 will take it..

I've seen gas that wasn't much better, so maybe it's been done.

I have a pretty thick skin - 14 years in the online Miata community will do that - but even then it's hard to shrug off a lot of the attacks. I take what I do very seriously, and that means I don't just blow off criticism. I prefer to be a member of communities where I can actually be a member, not just a target of abuse. That's one reason I spend so much time on the Grassroots forum, it's a group of people working together instead of a constant conflict.

I'll see if I can manage a bit more time here. Who knows, maybe people's attitudes will change.
You mean like, M.net where Gary pretty much sucks your dick anytime someone says something that might or might not be true in a derogatory way towards FM? I'm not trying to be a douche or anything, bu I think this place would be better than any for you to maybe straighten out some of the inconsistencies and possible bullshit rumors spread around the interweb on an unmoderated section, which may or may not be true. Criticism in my opinion isn't a bad thing in most cases and could possibly help sort out misconceptions potential customers of yours might hold about something you sell. If your skin isn't thick enough and you don't feel that maybe offering some parts to a TURBO community would be profitable enough for your company, then I'm sorry you feel that way. Personally I think a presence here from you wouldn't make you a target of abuse, but maybe I'm wrong. Thats happened before.

Yeah I bought that kit from you about a year ago, and still am pretty satisfied with both the drain and supply kits. The combination of them was something like 60$. Wouldn't have known you had it if not for calling to check, and FWIW I honestly think it'd be worth your time and money to list stuff like that on your website.

I also have to say that I really appreciate your salvage section which I've purchased some pretty expensive parts at a killer deal. The 400$ 94-97 Heatercore I got from you for like 48 bucks shipped.

jayc72, you're right. The more we can stuff in the online catalog, the better. I'll try to improve that, but the number of parts gets overwhelming and we often find that we're better able to help answer questions when we know the specific application. For example, a car with a 1999 motor swap looking for IC to throttle body pipes will use a combination of parts to make everything work depending on what was swapped with the motor.

Custom parts are one thing, but for the longest time I never saw any of the parts you just listed available on your website. Again, some people are just too lazy to pick up a telephone and contact a company to see if they've got something to offer for them, which I see as a loss of potential revenue.

Personally I really have no problems with FM in general, but being a true die in the wool Do it yourself person I'm one of the last people in the world willing to pay for most of your higher dollar products, some of which I think personally are way over priced. That however is only my opinion, so I don't know what to tell you there.

I can't believe we are bashing the FM website. lol.

Honestly, it is LEAGUES better than BEGi's attempt at a web presence. To find a pic of the intercooler setups, you have to go to the performance parts section, and click the link for "exhaust components". uhhh.....

Nothing is organized, and you have no idea what your kit will actually look like, as they appear to have a picture of every kit they've ever made on the right hand side of the page, with no rhyme or reason as to what the pictures represent. lol.

Stephanie, if you're reading this, I will redesign that site for FREE if you let me.

Granted, from my experience, both companies are very easy to deal and are very quick to answer any questions if you just call them. Corky and Stephanie answered all my questions very quickly on the phone and I also made my order via phone.

Granted, a better organized website would have answered about 90% of my questions without having to call and ask. Ultimately, if you guys didn't have to spend 15 minutes per call answering questions, just think of the productivity gains.

+999999999999^52 I just don't get it why they don't have a top notch site to advertise their products. Seems like their #1 means of advertising. FM has a good site, but even it could be better. Still, it's probably the best miata website for performance parts. I can pretty easily find a product with a description and a price, and a button to push to buy it. Begi's is a joke. I bet they sell SC pullies, but I'll be damned if I can find out what sizes or how much, or if they even sell them separately. I think I've seen a pic of one on there. It looked great. (Big hint I would buy a pulley if I knew you guys sold them and how much!!!) Just agreeing that site could be MUCH MUCH better.

We have been working on it for the last 4 months. Hopefully to be launched in a month or so. I think it will be much better. All the previews look really good.

I know the website is a PITA, however, I am not going to spend a lot of time working on it when it is about to go away. Sorry for the inconvenience.
