To be fair, for someone nostalgic over these cars that Cavalier could be a precious find, and 0-60 in 8.5s in one of these surely does feel brisk. He's also right about that engine having a signature burble to it; I learned to drive in a '92 Cutlass Supreme with the 3.1 and it really did have a unique sound, along with a torque figure a good bit higher than the horsepower.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure not going to drop $15k on it, but I can see the appeal of a rare creampuff version of a thirty-year-old car with which I associate positive memories.

There have been a few teams that have put together really well-built pink Miatas, and embarrassed a lot of other people with them at the track.
Losing to a Miata is hard enough for a lot of folks. Losing to a pink Miata has got to be on another plane.
