I mean mine seemed fine at 106k when I did my timing belt and stuff but who knows. That reminds me I need to pull my timing covers off and check for buildup cause I didnt really research before buying my **** and got a gates racing belt since its good on the miata. According to NABISCO the blue paint/coating/**** builds up on the idler pullies and eventually stretches and breaks the belt.

Gates has a line of black "OEM" replacement ones as well. Its about the same as the Continental brand ones and a bit "nicer" in the hand than the Bando brand ones I've handled in the past. I tend to use the Gates black ones when I'm forced to put timing belts on things.

Ugh. I used the blue gates one because I heard it was great.
WTF lgt people?! Why you not tell me things are **** when they are ****?
I'm still not sure I understand the deal on the blue belts. The blue stuff just comes off and causes issues? Can I do something about it, or should I really just replace the TB again after only 2k miles?

1. I just picked up an 05 STI from my work for a pretty good price IMO. $21.5 out the door with less than 50k miles. Everyone on CL was asking 24+ for similar or even higher mileage.
2. I ******* hate everyone on NASIOC holy ****
3. Wat fluid is gud for STI 6 speed?
4. Who wants a 2014 WRB WRX hatch? lol

The douchbags cocktail is just for 5 speeds or 6 speeds that are starting to be not so smooth. Your tranny is low on miles, put subaru S fluid or redline. I prefer subaru S. I did put the cocktail mix on mine and it was a step backwards. I now run Subaru S fluid and I did add a bit of redline shockproof it is better than ever. Nasioc is hostile enviroment.
socalsubbies.com it's a much better place. good info on dirtyimpreza too.

extra S can still be had from some vendors.
also last one I changed oil on he asked me to run the andrewtech cocktail (not the douche cocktail lol) which I think was motul + redline shockproof or something. he said he liked it.
yes, 99% of nabisco members are blithering idiots. the ones that aren't are the ones I follow really closely cause they do some really cool smart stuff
