I will NEVER recommend Duralast pads to anyone from Auto Zone unless I want them to die. I need to do brakes one of these days, I've had the car for two years and I still ahvent gotten around to bleeding the brakes like I know i need to. I have to double pump if I want a firm feel. I've noticed a trend of just fixing shit the PO left for me and the less I complain about the car. |

duralast gold is not semi-metallic
you're confusing them with teh regular "blue" duralast. the golds are usually $50+ and are ceramic. I know because I refuse to install the other semi-metallic crap you're talking about and have refused to change people's brakes if they brought me that junk. the "blue" ones are so bad you might as well just install rocks for brake pads. *edit: my cousin used to get those, with the warranty, and install them onto his acura legend with rotors installed backwards. then throw sparks like crazy and scare people on the road. then get them replaced for free after they wore out in 3 days. lolololol |

I have duralast gold's on my outback, were installed new right before I bought it. Put 60K on them so far. Other than the car feeling like it has '98 nissan sentra brakes*, they're great!
*'98 nissan sentra had shit brakes from the factory when "new", they get worse with age! |
