for reals, i need a seriously serious alignment, no joke.
|
on a scale from 1 to Brain, you are pegging a solid y8s right now
|
youre into pegging aren't you?
im assuming there's not much camber to be had on the stock suspension and that leafy has the right idea. there's no rear adjustments, correct? |
I pegged you last night, so yeah...
I think -2 is all you're gonna get maxing them out rear has just toe iirc |
what's the "factory" spec, 0 camber?
|
no. like -1 to -1.5 or something.
look it up n00b. we don't spoon feed here on WRXTurbo.net |
i have this thread so i dont have to look things up.
but yeah, i sad cause my new tires are triangles. |
as in the shape or the brand?
gotta specify on this poverty forum |
haha.
just the wear pattern. |
For the front I forget if they came with the crash bolts in the upper hole stock or not. But crash bolts in the top hole should net you about 1.5° in the front. I know your rear is different than mine so I dont know how its setup. On mine I have another crash bolt in the strut in the rear and I also have toe adjustment in one of the bottom arms.
|
fronts are same. camber bolt is what us regular people call them lol
rears are shocks on the GR/GV |
What I do like about working on this car over other strut cars is that the camber adjuster doesnt seem to actually effect toe, even if I completely take the strut off the knuckle and put it back together toe doesnt seem to change. Super duper nice.
|
I like what they did with the steering in the 08+
It's like 50% sharper, responsive, and precise. |
It's amazing what some camber did for turn-in on the BRZ.
Just took it off jack stands yesterday for the Ground Control coilover install. Need to get it aligned since up front I just gave it allthecamber. Stock rates = 153/195 GC's = 375/425 Rides just as good as stock and the extra camber up front now means the rear wants to come around a little easier. Now I need a nice wheel/tire setup. |
Am I getting old? Suddenly my Blitz nur spec is becoming slightly too loud for me. :giggle:

Got a bit saddened looking at the broken Exocet in the garage so I worked on the Subaru a bit tonight.
Changed the oil, again so easy on this car! https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1423637784 And replaced the pushed in and glued together passenger headlight. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1423637784 This was the 500 mile oil change. If it makes it to the 1000 mile change without some major thing failing I'll buy a new drivers side headlight too. |
i love how ez the oil filter is to get to. i don't like how matter what i can't not spill it all over the fucking place since it stays completely full from being vertical.
|
if you think that sucks with the stock header, you should try with an equal length, it's like half inch away on all sides. Most cover with tinfoil when changing
.....still not as terrible as on the miata. |
just came back from the track
12.4 @ 114.5 for the e85 wrx I tuned to 360/400 And I ran 13.1 @ 104 on mine with just exhaust. Mine is at 280/290 right now Neither one of us could launch/shift to save our life  He kept either roasting his tires off the line, or not being able to shift into 2nd. I kept bogging like crazy and also not able to shift fast. On the way back we lined up twice and it was just sad for me. 4-5 cars and he was still pulling. Time to start modding my car :giggle: some potato vids mine https://-------/Tmon his https://-------/HPUF Had a blast overall, but realized I'm even worse of a drag strip driver than I thought. Oh well, who cares. I'll scan the time slips later. |
oh yeah?
well i drove 20 miles into work today and got 31.6 mpg on my dash gauge. |
