When I'm in the right turn lane with a yield sign, I have to "slow down as you come to the intersection. Be prepared to stop. Let any vehicles, pedestrians or bicyclists safely pass before you proceed."

This is how it's written in our driving manual, and there's important language with each. I have to let ---- pass before I proceed and you have to yeild the way...

So as long as you haven't really turned first, I should be able to just drive through the right turn, stopping if you had made the turn and I might hit you if I pull out in front of you. But if not, I should just shoot through the turn WOT in 3rd gear like I always do in front of you with no worry...I'll let you run into the back of me and you'll be at fault by default

Even if you had a green arrow, the same should apply to be honest: I'd just need to make sure not to hit anyone turning left as I come to right yeild turn. pretty simple.
Well, you're thinking about this from a "I think about my driving" point of view, something that 95% of the drivers making said right don't do. You know the sign exists and you look at that left turn lane to see what you have to do...slow down, speed up or prepare to stop. You are one of the few that know how to use the intersection as it is marked. Now, the other 95% of mouth breathers driving though (on the phone, staring off into space, eating etc...) will not be aware of the YIELD sign and simply proceed to 'wing it' and make a right....only becoming aware that they are not yielding when a vehicle (me) comes right at them and is about 10ft away. Sometimes they get annoyed, but most of the time they just return to their mindless navigation to some unimportant destination.

In the case of me having a green arrow, that would mean you would have a red light which means you must come to a complete stop before proceeding with your right turn.

In San Angelo there are roads that basically run along the highway, which have highway on and off ramps branch off of them. You could technically travel to the same location just driving on this road, or the actual highway, if you so choose. But people driving on these roads must yield to traffic exiting the highway. Almost everyday I deal with retards who do not even notice me going at a fairly high rate of speed off the highway. Which is very annoying when I have to cross 2 lanes of traffic immediately to get to my dedicated right turn lane, which, in the miata, I can do at the speed limit easy (~35mph). Instead I'm stuck braking more than I have to, getting behind them and riding their ***.

You forget that you have a triple-digit IQ? You're a walking, talking, paradox...

Wait a minute. I do this but it is because I fear all the people that make a lane change with out a directional signal.

No one here has any idea how to use an acceleration lane. They all pull out early and then just sit at the end of it and wait.

You mean the one to the right of the solid white line? I use it all the time.
