Good luck, Blaen. Having a house burn down would be terrible, but the loss would certainly be mitigated by having enough time and notice to get most of your valuables out. You are definitely fortunate to have a second place to take your stuff to.

I'll be GTFOing out of here tomorrow morning. I'd like to stay longer for more volunteer work, but my lungs won't forgive me for much longer. The work is great, my lungs want me to die for being around in this **** unfortunately. I wish the local information people could pull their heads out of their butts where fires are contained - two days ago, the fire near my home was 95% contained, today it was 40% contained. Wut?
Pushy: I'm going to offer you some pro advice here. I know, it will absolutely blow your mind, but you'll have to realize that if a thread is about something that you don't want to read someone talking about, maybe you shouldn't go into it. I know Pushy, I know. To you, it's shocking, and utterly incomprehensible that something like that is a possibility, but hey! Just throwing that out there for you.
