Yeah, I measured the freight elevator and a 1st gen ForTwo would actually fit into it, but there's no way it could negotiate the turn out of the elevator on the 11th floor, nor will it fit through the door of my apartment.

kind of like an Isetta. (Actually, that's the car I'd really love to have here.) I think I've only really seen 2-3 actually on the road in my life. Kinda cool. |

You know, $8k isn't all that bad. And it would be about the most practical thing imagineable in terms of parking around here. This has the potential to be one of those things that starts out as a joke and winds up as a project. I wonder how the engine would respond to boost...

Hahaha. I appreciate the suggestions. Honestly, nose-in parking is the only thing that appeals to me about a Smart / Isetta. None of the more conventional Kei / CityCars offer that feature, so there's really nothing that would make me pick any of them over a Miata or a Boxster.
Right now this is just a lark- I don't yet need anything other than the bikes. |
How about a suitcase go kart?
|
Speaking of small cars i guess we gotta post this.
Oldie but goodie. Gets me every time. |

Joe you are a full grown man with a good job. Live life a little, go beyond you meagre needs, step into the land of full filling wants. We want to see you parking your tiny car sideways in New York parking spaces.
The fact is that I don't actually need a car. And, to be honest, the inconvenience of having to move it twice a week (for street cleaning) is a bigger factor than the money. |
I'd love to have one of those micro cars (always like the Messerschmitt one from the 1950's), but the prices have gone crazy on them.
Dad almost bought an Issetta back in the day, but got hooked on Studebakers instead. Anyone want to buy a 1964 Avanti project car? |

Also: Sorry to hear about the FiL, but glad that you got to have a positive relationship. Community support is also great to hear, we seem to be losing a lot of that these days. |
Color is maroon. About the closest thing to blood there is.

I wonder if someone else wants it. |

MY GOD are you kidding me?!?!! It might not be so bad if not for that sort of racing stripe madness. I was considering selling mine but DAMN I'd be too scared for that to happen. I must still have too much attachment to mine. So sad to see that done to one of the nicest miata I've seen.

God, I love North Carolina.
NC Administrative Code, Title 17, Chapter 4, Subchapter B, section 312: A rattlesnake milking exhibition for which an admission fee is charged is subject to the gross receipts tax imposed under G.S. 105-37.1. I wonder what happened between 1976 and 2000 which caused this regulation to need to be revised.Eff. February 1, 1976; Amended Eff. July 1, 2000. |
