Just realized the above was me setting myself up for a self-joke this glorious April Fool's morning. :(

Put your keys in your fucking pocket you goddamn hipster.

You think that bitch in Taiwan went to the trouble to sew a pocket in your pants so you could chuck your keys on the fucking bar?

bikersam717 04-02-2014 12:59 AM

My jeans are too tight to out anything in my pockets.

Really though, found keys in bathroom trashcan. Not sure of my thought process. This was unusual for me.

As a biker/Italian I've never understood the appeal of skinny pants since I can't pull a pair on past my knees. No, I am not fat(32 waist 165lbs).

Buy pants that fit? Contrary to what you may have been telling yourself, you do not actually wear the same size you wore when you were sixteen.

Pro tip: Though they may be hanging in the men's section, jeans containing Spandex are never really men's jeans.

you're so wrong it hurts when you sit down.

seriously, jeans with spandex are how jeans become "dress pants". you go ahead and wear your tightly creased whatevers with your shirt and tie. I will be in my stretchy jeans.

Watch how I squat

my jeans just got tighter.

Jeans are not dress pants, ever. They can be nice "going out" pants or used for casual Friday but they are NOT dress pants.

bikersam717 04-02-2014 10:50 AM

It all honesty though, I'm just as scrawny as when I was 16. 5'9 140 lbs, mountain bike between 5-10 miles about 3-4 times a week. I own about 10 pairs of 30x32 Levi 501's and 1 pair of nice dress pants. I just wear my GF's pants when I feel like tuckin'

I put "dress pants" in quotes. I know the difference. That said, most nice restaurants will let you get by in them. There are some stuffy old exceptions, and even those might let you do a tie and blazer.

What is the "life expectancy" of the FM level 1 clutch?

I have had mine for about 20K miles (about a quarter of that with 0 boost) and the clutch slipped as I got on the gas on the freeway yesterday. (only about 11 psi of boost)

I was in 5th, wanted to accelerate to pass, and saw the rpms shoot up.
I thought "what the hell", and repeated with the same result.

Would I be able to just replace the clutch disc and get away with it?

Yup just take a look at the flywheel to make sure it isn't glazed or damaged.

Reverant 04-02-2014 01:10 PM

Wait, didn't you get the FM2?

Godless Commie 04-02-2014 01:21 PM

Whoa.. Was that the FM2?

I really do not remember the details. I just got what you ordered.

Godless Commie 04-02-2014 01:29 PM

I just checked, and it IS the FM1 kit...

Good news! Your order from Flyin' Miata has been shipped. If you requested
UPS as the shipping method, you can follow its progress through the following
link:
Flyin' Miata 1 800 FLY MX5s

08-19010 FM Level 1 Clutch Kit, 1.8, 90-05 318 lb/ft 2.00 2.00 0.00

Godless Commie 04-02-2014 01:30 PM

So I guess that's what you got, too.

(meaning, Dimitris has received the FM1 kit)

Reverant 04-02-2014 02:46 PM

Yeah, I did want the FM1, I don't remember whether we discussed your plans on the phone or over email.

Jeffbucc 04-02-2014 03:02 PM

:rofl:Stop slipping the clutch so much Hakan!

I'm scared of going back to the heavy clutch in the Miata. After driving the Miata for the week(5 days:crx:) I had it, when I drove my Jetta after I almost kicked a hole in the firewall since the clutch is so much lighter than the Miata. Felt like a 15 year old not know how to modulate the clutch!
