In a case of supreme irony, my wife has informed me that she does indeed have a separate bank account. I had forgotten all about it.

It was started with some money her father had given her when I threatened to cancel the Disney vacation because my son had left the refrigerator open all night. Came down in the morning to the nearly new fridge making all sorts of terrible noises, and I lost it. In my anger fueled rant, I said the trip was off, so the account was insurance against me actually doing it.

She actually showed it to me about a year later, and we decided to keep it open as a savings account to pay for my son's college.

As a child who went to Disney, I can say it was really disappointing.
But then again, I was spoiled with Cedar Point when I was little.

I used to live a couple hours from Disneyland and went at least 10-12 times during my childhood. I friggin' loved every minute of it.

Disney Pro-tip: Upon checkin (you are staying at a 'deluxe' on property location, aren't you?), say you're newly weds. You get a large button that gets you a lot of free stuff in the park. Booze, ice cream, etc. The 'anniversary' buttons didn't get us ****.

My son got some button, which he promptly forgot to wear. We still got a lot of perks, because he is an exceptionally polite/well behaved kid, and because Disney.

I grew up at Mariott's Great America (formerly Paramount's Great America, currently California's Great America by Cedar Fair, aka as The 49ers Levi Stadium Parking Lot)

I remember getting a season pass every year for many years. They were like $20. This was back in the "all my pictures are heavily sepia now" era.

Those door blocks have gotten so many amazing reviews they seem like the best thing since sliced bread. I'm still quite skeptical.

M.net fools who spend way too much money for something that could have made themselves will spout all sorts of **** to convince themselves and others that they didn't get ripped off.

I wonder if I can offer my services as a brick calibrator? I can offer NIST-traceable certification.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made a noticeable improvement in NVH. Over some of the roads here, my car feels like the doors are going to rattle off the car. Reducing the play at the latch side should help.

But yeah, they aren't door bars or even frame rails.

Hmm. I'd run them. who wants to make me some?

It's one of those things... I could try to find the stock and take some time measuring and make them myself, or pay $50 and have them pre-made and finished. I'd pay the money.

Never heard of them before, but it does make sense that they would help.

And I already have a block of 1" uhmw in the mill for making blockoff plates, might as well cut some rectangles while I'm at it...

My passengers side door sags hard, nobody gets it closed in the first shot.

Thing is, once you are in the flow of making things. And have cheap places to get stock, or leftover stock, and have the tools, making things becomes easier and easier.

Bit of a steep learning curve but worth it in the end.

Ed you should buy one of the $100 Mig welders.

Revlimiter gave them a great review. He's a pretty reliable judge of worthy aftermarket parts.
