I hate, HATE, ******* HATE when people on CL say "No test drives without cash in hand".

Yeah, because what I'm going to do is bring 6 thousand dollars in cash to a Craigslist deal while not even sure if I'm going to buy the car, and am not even sure what condition the car is like or who the seller is? When I almost bought a Talon the guy wanted 5.8k... In CASH. Who the **** does a transaction that large in cash besides dealers and hustler(s)?

Chicken Channel Features Chickens Roasting 24/7
February 25, 2011 by Robert Paul Reyes

Some Canadian cable subscribers will soon be able to watch a restaurant chain’s chickens spinning and roasting on rotisseries 24 hours a day.

The Swiss Chalet chain, which specializes in roasted chicken and ribs, announced on Facebook, in conjunction with Rogers Cable, viewers will be able to watch chickens roasting around the clock on Channel 208 beginning Monday.

"The all-chicken roasting channel is scheduled to run for 13 weeks, the company said.”

UPI:
I don’t mind watching a chicken spinning and roasting on a rotisserie for an hour, as long as I get to eat the chicken when it’s down. But watching a chicken roasting for hours on end on TV is pointless, there’s no payoff. It’s like watching a stripper go through her gyrations for an hour, but she never takes of her bra or panties.
But I must admit that watching a chicken spin on a rotisserie is more fun than watching golf, I hope my cable system replaces “The Golf Channel” with the “Chicken Roasting Channel.”

Every single used car I've ever sold (private sale), I ONLY took cash. Not gonna **** around when I'm handing over keys and a title. Also checked every bill...

Of course when I have bought cars, I try to pay with forms of checks..

Is is possible to put a back seat in a Miata?

Ever since Yeats deleted my For Sale thread, I haven't been able to sell my valve cover to cover (lol) the cost of my girl's abortion. Because I have another little man on the way, I'm exploring my options and I'd rather not buy a minivan cut my ***** off.

LMK PLS!!!!!

So you won't take cashier's check? Because that's what I do pretty much every larger than cash transaction with.

Whats considered a "larger than cash" purchase to you? $500? $2500? $5000?

If the transaction is in person, I want cash money and I'll probably take $100 off the price. If I have to ship it, PayPal only. **** anything else.

Usually if you have the money to buy it, cash isn't a problem.

I'd say anything over 1k is cashier's check territory.

So you wouldn't do cashier's check? I would feel MUCH more comfortable walking around with a 6k cashier's check than 6k in cash, wouldn't you? I mean, it's not like a cashier's check will bounce. You also don't have to walk around with a big honking wad of cash.

Cash money always wins. I've never ended an auction early for a cashier's check. Although its just about as good as cash, it just doesn't have the same appeal.

My first couple cash deals had me nervous, but now I don't mind them at all. I always tell people to make sure they bring the full amount cause I'd hate for them to turn back empty handed. People love to agree to cash prices then show up with $50-$100 less. Only had it happen to me once for a miata soft top like 5 years ago. Such a dick move.

Gutted cat crew: Does your gutted cat seem to make an extra 'pinging' sound due to the now-open chamber in your exhaust?

Naw man, naw. $5k+ is cashiers check territory. Coincidentally, every car I have ever bought has been under $5,000, so I always bring a pocket full of Bens.

Yes, and the sound sucks with the stock muffler. Gutted cat with aftermarket muffler is better. Test pipe is better still because it removes hollow ringing sound created by cat chamber.
