I was driving to a place to do a thing, roads are heavily salted and its pretty cold out, but it is dry. Came to a "T" junction with no red light, turned left at safe speed, as I start slide a bit, "no big deal" I thought as I corrected a bit, this section of the road is slippery even when it's dry out on a worm day. Car continued to slide, more then I'm accustomed to so I corrected a bit more. At some point during this my dumbass let off the clutch. The car swung back, too far, I (tried to) correct once more to no avail, car swing back around and I ended up facing the wrong direction, but I did safely come to a halt. I glanced to my left and saw... an Ohio highway patrol car. I turned as to face the correct direction and parked & turned the car off as he came up behind me, got out of the car and I handed him my license (had it out before he got out of the car). He asked me what happened and I told him I slipped on the salty road, he ran my license, came back, told me to be careful and have a nice day. Nice guy. I'm really lucky that I was on a wide road with little traffic, on a back road I'd have been fuked. Be careful on the salt guys.

 

 

My dog Daisy, whom my wife and I nicknamed "turd", somehow let herself out of her crate last night and $hit on the concrete floor behind the garage door.
The name "turd" came from when she was a puppy and I was on 3rd shift a few years ago. I went to bed and she slept in my bed tucked under my arm. When I woke up she was in the same position as she was when I fell asleep, but she was staring up at me. I sat up and noticed a turd pile in front of my closet door, hence the nickname, "turd".
What kind of dog is smart enough to wiggle out from under my arm in my sleep, take a dump, and then climb back in the same spot as she was before?
She is 1/2 Beagle, 1/2 Jack Russell. This is weird cause she looks like a beagle, but can't sit still for $hit, and she bounces off the walls all day.

I get to take a few days off work starting today and man does it feel GREAT!

Yesterday I was down at the shop for ------- 16 hours straight.
