Fracking Walgreens brand batteries. Had a gig with a prominent Houston radio figure (Cactus Jack) hosting a fundraiser auction. Using a sennheiser wireless mic. Bought the battery brand new today and it didn't last over 2 hours before the mic started cutting out. Luckily, it started happening in the last couple minutes and it didn't affect his performance when I chained him to a wired mic. My dad is cheap when it comes to batteries.

I'm 6'1" and have height to spare with the back end of the Kirkey 41 Series mounted to the floor. I also had the stock seats all the way back and was still too close to the pedals. I actually had to move the Kirkeys forward a little to get good pedal control because the seatbacks are not as thick. They don't look comfy but they are. Others who have ridden with me have bought Kirkeys of their own afterwards.

A little blue pill for Miatas.

Do you drop it in the gas tank, or does the owner take it orally?

It's a Miata. The owner takes it... ahem...

...as one takes a suppository.

Something like this tunnel notch-out panel? Or is that a solution for a different problem than you are discussing?

I'm just reposting **** I find online. I honestly did not even read the links, lol.

You can't post bad things about the EFR turbos because missile strikes against Libya and execution without trial on American soil.

Meh, I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if the wheels came from china. With all the "bling bling" 3-piece "forged" wheels being advertised, there is no way each one company its own forging equipment. I know the forum post stated that the Cor wheels are made by another name, but unless it's HRE or BBS or RAYS...or another well respected name, I wouldn't be surprised at sub-par materials. On the other hand, I worked for one of the wheel companies and saw wheels that had cracked or failed....but every one of those wheels had about 3" of brake dust build-up lol. Wheels fail, they do. I'd like to know how many times that car had been on track with those wheels and their condition prior to being on track. In the end, I'm not taking sides on this one.

I fear that I have created something truly evil.

Over the weekend, I finally got around to spraying a second coat of paint onto the car from the doors back, fixing the half-assed job I did the first time which resulted in a sandpaperey, matte-finish surface. I re-installed all the interior bits (door panels, passenger seat, misc trim) and the last of the exterior pieces (side mirrors, license-plate surround.) As a result, this morning I got to drive a complete, shiny car that didn't look like a half-finished project. (It feels kind of weird using the handle to open the door from the inside- I'd gotten used to just pulling on the rod. Insert gay / masturbation joke here.)

As I was driving home, something rather unusual took place.

I was heading south on El Camino Real. I was in the right lane, and in the center lane, roughly keeping pace with me (~ 55 MPH), was a blue 3-series BMW convertible driven by an attractive young woman with red hair in a sort of bowl-cut.

We were approaching the intersection where I make a right-hand turn to get home. This particular section of road is kind of weird. Up until that point it's been three lanes in the southbound direction for at least the past five miles. But just after my intersection, the right lane on the southbound side suddenly ends, and then begins again one block later. (I have no explanation for why this is, it just is.) As a result, when the light is red going south, traffic is usually backed up many cars deep in the left and center lane, but relatively light in the right lane (the drivers who know this road have already merged over.) Rather fortuitously, Google Maps' aerial view of that intersection captures the state of the intersection perfectly as it was today, with a southbound red light about to turn green. Here's what the scene looked like (rotated so that up is south). Imagine that the white car is a red 1990 Miata:

The lady in the BMW was completely mesmerized by the awesome sight of my shiny car. She simply couldn't take her eyes off of me, as she imagined what manner of Adonis I must have been to have crafted such a fabulous marvel of automotive perfection. I could feel her undressing me in her mind, pulling me from my seat, throwing me down onto the warm hood of the Miata atop the still-running engine and doing unspeakable things to my body. In her thoughts, our two forms merged into a unified mass of writhing ecstasy, right there at the side of the road in plain view for all to see. Our sweat ran down the hood in rivulets which formed small puddles on the parched ground, evidence of the herculean physical exertion in which we engaged in perfect synchronization. Finally, as we neared the point of utter exhaustion and she climaxed for the tenth or eleventh time, I finally exploded into her, releasing the prized seed which she so deeply sought.

Consequently, she failed to notice the Honda which was stopped in front of her until she was about 20 feet away from it.

Both cars are totaled.

Is this what it's like to be one of the beautiful people? Will I forever be haunted by this wake of carnage and destruction?

HRE = weak and soft
BBS = heavy and really soft
VOLK = single race wheel, I wouldn't expect them to last more than a couple years, lips bend a lot, hubs "twist" over curbs
6UL = How the hell are these wheels still straight and uncracked after so many years?
