I need help trying to figure out a price for a half-rolling 01 chassis. Motor's blown up, trans, diff and rear hubs are sold. Interior is still in the car. Any ideas?

Not true. I had a good quality thick plastic one for my Galaxy S and it went on smooth with no bubbles, and was so thick that it couldn't wrinkle up or scratch. The one I have on my SII is shit. Thin and wrinkled, and with a lot of air bubbles that were impossible to get out. Looks like ass, but it still has kept a few scratches off the screen.

I once watched an Apple Store employee take a key to the glass of an iPhone.

I am much less concerned about scratches now.

I can't tell if you are:

A) Too cool for school.
B) Too hipster for Apple.
C) A miserable bastard that wouldn't be happy even if surrounded by a bunch of girls at a breastaurant.

Either way, I've never had a single problem with my iPhone and Apple even replaced it for free when I spilled a glass of water on it.

So... :dealwithit:

I do the key scratch demo on my phone(s) all the time.

Keys don't scratch phones. it's the sandy dirty grit in your pocket that does.

If you are the type that often walks around with grams of sandy, dirty grit in your pockets - of a type that can scratch glass - than I suppose that makes sense.

I'm much more concerned about dropping the phone and breaking the glass than I am scratching it with pocket lint. Then again, I'm a white collar desk jockey and don't get my hands in physical dirt unless I'm working in the garage or around the house on the weekends. :(

Why put a condom on your phone if you don't have to?

I accidentally dropped my HTC Espresso 3G slide in the parking lot outside the lab one morning, and it subsequently got rained on and thoroughly soaked.

When I finally found it that afternoon, I pulled off the back cover, removed the battery, and baked it in the accelerated environmental test chamber for a few hours.

Still working fine a year later.

Finally changed the diff. bushings last night. Driving feels better. the NVH isn't bad at all. Took us ~2 hours from pulling in to getting off the lift...with plenty of lolly-gagging in between. The air hammer made it a breeze. I still have some "thunks" when riding the clutch too hard, me thinks the engine mounts I replaced in Jan are already toast from the bad diff bushings. Will replace. My only problem now is that the exhaust is lightly bumping somewhere after being put back in, will find and fix.

Contemplating AWR engine mounts....
