how did you hurt it.

I hurt mine by always leaning on my left elbow at work. It got really bad for a while. Doc/Theropy was worthless, so I removed the arm of my chair and made an effort to stop leaning on it and it doesnt hurt anymore.

Same thing happened when i damaged my knee. self medicating by preventing further aggravation/damage.

Cortisone is a temporary bandaid and can lead to increased damage and pain down the road. Find out what's causing the pain and rehab it.

Not sure any one thing hurt it. I spent a lot of my teen years and early 20's doing hard manual labor, lots of heavy lifting at awkward angles. Pretty sure that contributes a lot to my bad shoulders and knees.

That is one of my fears. The pain isn't so bad that I can't just tough it out like I always have. I only go to the doctor when I'm about to die. Of course that has worked against me several times, like when I almost lost one of my kidneys due to stubbornness. For now though, I'll just self medicate to keep the pain at bay. I'm not exactly sure how to rehab this though. I guess there is a certain ratio of muscle in your shoulder area. My shoulders are one of my better developed groups, but I guess maybe one key piece is missing that I just don't know about. I do a lot of rappelling and rock climbing/bouldering, so that may either be a benefit or a hindrance, since it involves a lot of shoulder action, though probably in a bad way since most of it is extended over the head and at weird angles.

Do some Turkish Get-Ups. Fantastic for strengthening and stabilizing shoulders through the full range of motion. Start with a lighter weight than you think you need, and get the motion down before you increase the weight.

A high school math class is calling BS on claims that "Double Stuf Oreos" have twice the amount of creme ... saying consumers are getting screwed out of 7% of the double creaminess they were promised.

It was all part of a class project in Upstate NY, assigned by a suspicious cookie-obsessed “Consumer Math” instructor. The class did intense testing on 10 Oreos and determined that Double Stuf Oreos were only 1.86 times larger than the regular ones. The same experiment revealed that Mega Stuf Oreos (allegedly 3-times the normal Oreo) were only 2.68 times larger.

Nabisco – the company behind the cookie – says the situation isn’t as black and white as it seems … claiming the math class is WRONG and insisting Double Stufs do indeed contain twice the crème filling.

We tried to conduct our own independent testing … but got hungry and ate all the cookies.

Oreos are the devil. TOo delicious.

What is with Begi and FM shipping? Maybe I'm too spoiled with Amazon. These are the rates for BEGI 17" coolant hard line:
United Parcel Service (1 x 1lbs) United Parcel Service
Next Day Air Early AM $95.22
Next Day Air $62.22
2nd Day Air $27.46
3 Day Select $22.29
Ground $16.92

The part cost $18, I'm not spending $17 more on shipping lol

The actual cost of UPS shipping varies greatly. A lot of it is to do with the discounts that the shipper offers to the business based on volume.

A large company with a high shipping volume will often negotiate a deal wherein they are offered a rate that is 50% (or more) discounted across the board as compared to the rate that a private individual or a small business which ships only a few parcels a day would pay.

But I ship things cheaper than that. I get that the 17"ness of it probably is why it's THAT much, but the cost doesn't seem to vary much even for smaller parts.

Tack on insurance for the shipping. I don't think they tell you that, but i'm assuming they do.

Insurance is automatically added for under $100, you don't pay extra.

Cost per shipment depends a lot on how far the sender and recipient are from the nearest UPS hub, and also whether it's being shipped to a business or residential address (residential delivery costs more).

That sucks for Begi I guess. I live right by the hub near me. I usually end up getting packages a day early. Either way I'll source from somewhere else if it's going to cost me the price of the item for it to be shipped. $18 for that pipe is worth it, $35 not so much.

Anyone else up with random car parts and not know why you have them?

I just discovered a FRAM G5237 fuel filter brand new in the box. So far as I can tell, it is not a match for any vehicle I've ever owned. The closest application is for a 1999 Infiniti G20 -- I've owned a 1992 Infiniti G20 and a 2001 Nissan Sentra SE 2.0, but FRAM doesn't list either car as an application.

Why do I have it? Where did it come from?

FWIW the last time I ordered from BEGI I pitched a fit over the shipping costs. All of a sudden they managed to use USPS Priority and saved me over 1/2 the cost and it arrived the same time.

It seems they do read the comment section of the order (probably easier to pick up the phone but I was too busy bitching to myself)....

you bet your sweet *** I did, even the OEM distributor cap was a little worn, but still functioning as intended; however it wanted to be epic in the middle of a start from a traffic light... epic sputtering, backfire, and puffs of black smoke then back to normal... when I got home it developed a horrible misfiring idle.

Now I have gone and spent a cool $120 on MSD wires, coil, and cap/rotor kit, along with some decent spark plugs. The bronco is just simply purring.
