My first post got me into **** cause I sounded like a rich cocky bastard that was bragging about all the money I spent :/

Instead I'm actually a broke sob that only has money cause he is in Afghanistan and was just super excited to get home and install everything.

Ha...I remember that...

Let me take this opportunity to apologize again...I think I had just bombed a Heat Transfer exam and you were in arm's reach.

I did enjoy your build thread...and am glad you are enjoying the car when you're home.

I didn't post about blowing my motor on my third post...it was closer to the 5th.

I wonder how long Abe was around before he posted pics of his first set of pretzeled rods?

A few playful jabs and a bit of sarcasm can be quite instructive as a teaching tool. The vehicle and part specific information is what I struggle with, but I learn a little more about the Miata every day. I'd hate to be clueless regarding basic engine construction and operating theory as well. I don't know how some of these guys keep from destroying everything they touch.

It reminds me of a car vs. motorcycle accident on the Florida turnpike. I was the second person on scene. As the man and woman from the motorcycle lay in the roadway I tried to determine their obvious injuries to render aid. As a few more motorists showed up, a nicely dressed, well spoken woman began speaking to the injured pair. I told her the woman had a broken ankle, so the nicely dressed woman grabbed the injured female's foot and starts pushing it upwards toward the knee. The injured female screams and I yell "What are you doing?" She replied, "I'm trying to pop it back in joint." I yelled, "Get the **** away from her!" I was amazed. I just assumed that everybody has a basic understanding of human anatomy.

I feel similarly stunned when talking with people who have no idea how the basic systems in their automobiles function. I'll give a chick a pass on that, but not a dude, and certainly not a guy who purports to be an enthusiast.

Even my wife can name the four strokes of a four stroke internal combustion engine.

No pics of hot wife, you bastards, so don't ask.
