Boring fact:
In 1973, President Nixon was kidnapped by Leonid Brezhnev. While Brezhnev was visiting Camp David, Nixon gave him a new Lincoln Continental as gift.
From Nixon's memoirs:

From Nixon's memoirs:
He got behind the wheel and motioned me into the passenger seat. The head of my Secret Service detail went pale as I climbed in and we took off down one of the narrow roads that run around the perimeter of Camp David….
At one point there is a very steep slope with a sign at the top reading, ‘Slow, dangerous curve’….
Brezhnev was driving more than 50 miles an hour as we approached the slope. I reached over and said, ‘Slow down, slow down,’ but he paid no attention. When we reached the bottom there was a squeal of rubber as he slammed on the breaks and made the turn….
‘You are an excellent driver,’ I replied. ‘I would never have been able to make that turn at the speed at which we were traveling.’
Diplomacy is not always an easy art.
During this 30 minute joyride, Nixon was separated from both his security detail and the nuclear football.

Coworker across the hall brought his kid to work this morning. Kid would not be quiet. Humming, whistling, singing to himself, complaining to his dad, playing with his dad's cordless screwdriver...I was going crazy. They finally went to lunch a few minutes ago.

* = I support the Oxford Comma.
I actually find it interesting. I'm just trying to make reasonable judgement about what a statistically average person might find to be interesting or uninteresting if mentioned in casual conversation at a cocktail party. In my experience, nuclear war, politics,* and cold-war shenanigans are not a well-received topic of conversation in that context.

if you're at a cocktail party where the guests are of average intelligence, then you might find that if you are of above average intelligence that you'll be attempting to have a conversation with people of below average intelligence.

Theoretical "normal" distribution of IQs (shaded curve) and the actual distribution in the population (heavy line), with the lower hump exaggerated for explanatory purposes.
