I've been eyeing IS-F's quite a bit.
Around here the clean ones are still in the 30's, and I'd want 09+ for the much improved looks, ride comfort, diff, interior

Any interest in the Charger, like a R/T? Not full ***** SRT because that is a $10k at least jump.

If I'm gonna drive something that heavy and that slow, it might as well be a comfy/beautiful/high quality lexus IS350 and not a Doge

Does dodge sell based on rental cars and brand loyalty?

Still a 13.6 1/4 sedan?

Where are you located? A quick autotrader search returned plenty of examples in the low $20ks across the country: Lexus IS F for Sale in Marietta, GA 30062: cars under 26000 - Autotrader

The 2010 IS-F got an LSD and a new wheel option; the next year they updated the nav system and made suspension tweaks. Other than the wheels there were no appearance changes or interior updates (other than two tone leather).

For a track car I agree the LSD is preferable; on a street car I'd save the money and buy an earlier model.

There's an 08 IS-F for sale here locally for $13k. It has 248k miles! A testament to Lexus long term durability.

It might be because my rental car is a 2016 Ram1500 4x4. And I like it. Never had the luxury of daily driving a truck.

How do the newer (2009~) WRX do with miles that aren't abused? Like can I get 150k with it without much other than normal maintenance and the occasional A/C compressor or something.

I am picking at sticks. Need to find something good enough.

I still say that little iA as a cheap beater under warranty.

6.0 V8 Pontiac G8 GT
:ducks head:

But knowing the IS-F is that cheap now, you can't beat Toyota reliability. I'd look really hard at those.

A GTI, really? I'd buy a 180k Toyota before a 70k VAG product every single time. In modern Germany, VAG bleeds you.

Looks gorgeous, ~350whp N/A V8 that sounds great, handles with a e92 M3, and the interior is sexy minus only a couple things.

I hate all of you for making me want one.

You never answered if fly and drive is an option for you. You may be able to find a good deal somewhere else in the country and get to make a fun road trip home.

Or like I do sometimes, when I bought my 318is, the day I arrived the shop threw a massive party and we all got seriously shitcanned, the next day I woke and drove from Newark, NJ to the other side of St. Louis. Then finished the drive to Tulsa the next day.

Northern CA

for the record, I've been watching them pretty closely for the past year or so, ever since I got the mustang (I was going back and forth between the Lex and the Stang)

to my knowledge the later ones have the suade inserts in the seats, perforated leather wheel vs just regular leather, different speedometer, etc.

I mean yeah it's not a deal breaker by any means to get a pre-2010, but I really like all those little improvements in the newer ones.

And hte biggest one: softer ride

I have an older Lexus GS 400, I absolutely love it. short horor story-

The day I paid it off, some ******* backed over a fire hydrant. An act of god produced a perfect 5mph wind that carried the column of water directly through my open sunroof. In about 1 minute water was up to the lap of the rear seats. 8 years later the car still works perfectly.

So I've narrowed it down to something like this:
1.) Focus ST
2.) MK7 GTI
3.) ???

Fail wheel drive.
