If it's for an AR there are 3 different "main" lengths.. Carbine, Mid length, and Rifle length. What'd you order? If it's a free floating I might be interested in it...

This would be a good illustration:

Haha. Used to be all about S&B when all I shot was .380acp, then moved up to 9mm and found none of my guns like their ammo so I sold it all and haven't bought any since. None the less, that was a fairly good price for brass..

Yah, I'm not a fan of the rest of their stuff. Although I have reloaded some of their 9mm brass without issue.

I couldn't pass them up considering the current complete lack of anything .223. 89 boxes later....

It is a cheap 6.5" , so I'm guessing carbine length. I only paid $35 for it on amazon.

This is the one I got. It's not a precision instrument, but the tolerances are acceptable. It fits the A2 flash hider that I'll be removing soon, and worked fine on the castle nut (it slipped once but I let it get a little off square).
Props! Thanks for the link Anyone else have a favorite?

You can't find .22LR? I wish I'd seen that earlier, what did you buy?

What can I say? I'm persistent I wish they would just ship what they have in stock, because I'm sure there is no damn way they are ever going to have everything I ordered in stock at the same time for the next 4 months. Hell, I'd be happy to pay extra shipping.

I'm still looking for 2-3 basic $60 LPKs. If someone manages to catch a few in stock somewhere, I'd be happy to cover the purchase price and shipping

I'm looking for the same, although I already have the trigger components/springs, I just need every other spring/pin/etc..

And hooray.... looks like I successfully traded a few magazines for a hard chromed bolt carrier, that should be nice.

Also a member of the "looking for a quality LPK at a reasonable price" crüe.

I did manage to scoop up a BCM upper assembly yesterday, so I might have that Mega stripped upper receiver available after all.

And the old guy behind the counter was super cool and helpful, perfect for someone as complete ignorant about this stuff as I am.

J-woww and her boyfriend were there buying guns too.

Still trying to decide on my pistol.
I'm considering CZ 75b in stainless for my 9mm. Reviews seem great.

Ahh, that's right! Good looking gun. I saw talk of 9mm and 1911 and completely glossed over the 22LR part. You've seriously never shot it?

This ar build is going to get expensive... Rail I want is $315, bcg $225, optics, $500... Before I got into this I thought the big money was in the upper/lower.

This is what I was thinking. Mbus backup, eotech optics, and the rail

If you don't have your 03 C&R, it's $30 for 3 years and the forms take about 10 minutes to fill out:

Here are detailed instructions... took me about 10 minutes, with 5 of that tracking down the mailing address to the Police Dept:

How to acquire your C&R FFL license

The first form is here. It's actually 2 copies in one... as you fill out the top copy (which you send to the ATF), it auto-fills the bottom copy minus your CC information (you send that to your CLEO).
http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-5310-16.pdf

The second form is here... this one only needs to go to the ATF, not the CLEO.
http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-5330-20.pdf

You never know when a piece of paper like this will come in handy... the guys on a Rhode Island gun forum I was a member of said having your C&R is one of the only ways for an average dude to satisfy "good cause" in some counties to get your CCW.

It might be the push I need to justify a Mosin or Tokarev.

Oh yeah! Used a Amazon gift card from x-mas and bought Magpul MBUS flip-sites today via Magpul. Went for the legit dark earth! It was $95 total, but I had the $50 card. JoeBobOutfitters actually gets $86 after my 5% mil discount and free shipping over $90... so could have save $9 if I'd wanted to use my own money.

I ordered today at 12:26am, and just got the shipping notice at 10:36pm... delivery for tomorrow.

I love Amazon Prime... worth every freaking penny.

Just posted locally as this store is here in GA, might help you guys looking for LPKs, not quite $60, they're $80 and there are 100 in stock as of 15 minutes ago:

HEROES TACTICAL AR15 LOWER PARTS KIT - HTLPK - Heroes Tactical - America's Discount Shooting Superstore!

Coupon code Slick Guns will apparently get you $5 off shipping. I've never done business with them so I can't provide any reviews about them.

Anybody have any thoughts on this one? I can't seem to find any reviews or much info on the company.

Is that the magpul rail? I can't decide if I like it or not. I know I won't be spending $300 on a piece any time soon.

I'll see if I can get the brand of rail I got. Lifetime warranty and free float. It ran me $140 from bass pro shops.

I guess we'll find out about those LPKs as I ordered one.

In for updates when available. I appreciate you jumping on this as I'd prefer not to commit $240 to "the unknown" at this point.

Correct, that would be the magpul handguard. I was merely suggesting a $50 rail, and $100 sights as oppose to a $315 rail and $500 sight. Would be willing to bet they'll work just as good!

I don't personally like the magpul handguard so inexpensive replacements can be obtained.. Bought one of these recently, Primary Arms drop in carbine rail for $45 shipped to my door

It's made in china and the screws are about 2x longer than they need to be, but seems like a good solid rail once you get it clamped down. Am thinking about upgrading it to a LaRue floating or something like that to save some weight...
