Yet Another Gun Thread

More than enough what? Which caliber and version? What does your "enviroment" consist of? How is this gun used? Do you carry?
I've shot the full-size 9mm version a year or so ago (duo-tone model a buddy got on a trade) and it was fine. The sights were better than factory Glock, but not as good as factory M&P. It shot as well as any other duty-size pistol and felt good, but it was damned ugly... granted, nothing is as ugly as the Springfield XD series, but the Walthers came out way before.

I think the walthers were built for comfort of the hand... they are the first I can think of when it comes to factory-made comfort grip. Sure, they are the *** spawn of guns when it comes to looks, but they fit my hand pretty will without any upgrades, as opposed to the other guns on my "comfort" list.

I am a huge Walther fan. Everyone I have picked up has always fit perfectly in my hands and felt amazing.

Agreed. Platform has merits, but wrong chambering.
The .338 craze is a fad that will end soon.
I speak from experience, having just spent the entire week with a Desert Tactical SRS-A1, that the .338LM round is a bad-*** long distance bomber. After morning of loading and working up dope, we put about 10rds under 12" at 1280yds, almost putting holes in 3/8" plate. I'll get a picture.
On the other hand, my buddies off-the-shelf W70 in .300wm was shooting just as tight at 1000yds with blind handloads... pissed off my first buddy to no end that his $8000 .338 was neck and neck with $700 20 year old wood-stock deer gun.

I'm seriously considering selling all my AR parts. I consider the fact that I haven't been bothered to even put the thing together an indication that it's utility is not that significant and there is some opportunity cost with the money being "tied up" + the complication of having to get a standing safe for it.
Are ARs like modified cars in that selling individual components is likely to fetch a better price or should I put it all together and try to sell as a complete unit? All components are quality parts, but not top of the line (MEGA, Bravo Company, Mag-Pul, etc).

I think it depends on the parts. If you have a lot of generic or low-end parts (eg, Magpul MOE stuff), then it's probably worth more as a complete rifle. If you have high-end name brand parts, then I don't know if it's worth more either way, but it'll probably be easier to sell as parts. If guys are spending that much on their AR, they probably want to select individual parts, not buy someone else's rifle.

What rear sight do you have? I have a magpul popup and I don't like it at all. The hole feels to big or something. I'm worthless with it outside of 50yards. Of course it also doesn't help that my ear protection is big and bulky and gets in the way of properly holding the rifle.

Because of the new laws in California. I broke down and bought a Anderson arms lower in 5.56 today. My first one ever . Very excited to start my build up. This California law has started a scare here and everyone is bumm rushing to buy up all the lowers. Prices almost don't matter .. they are selling everything overnight. Nothing left on the shelf for tomorrow. Hell they made me even buy a new lock because of some stupid law. You have to have a lock that you have a receipt that is less then thirty days old. $126 was my damage out the door.
