6th Annual NE MT.net dyno day - May 2
#41
Update. My head is at a machine shop getting a rebuild done. I dropped it off yesterday during work (left for 5 hours) and the guy says to give him about a week. So whenever i get it back i have to plan with Paul when we can put it all together. May 2nd might be cutting it close, but if anything, I'll come done in the 96 just to hang out.

Alright, couple of statements/questions/whatever:
1. It would indeed be the U of D FSAE guys coming. If so, it'll only be one car (an older one) and I'd be paying, because we/they (I graduated so am no longer an official member) get unlimited dyno time there for the FSAE cars. And I don't feel like shelling out more than an additional $60.
2. Where is the pizza coming from?
3. Should I pick up a box of coffee/donuts/whatever on my way over?

Party pooper.
Hm, place down the street... I have to run down that way today to take one of our cats to the vet (same business park) and pick up another alternator for the pickup (same business park) and drop off a load of scrap metal (same business park), so I'll try to figure out what pizza place it is. Any way you cut it, I guarantee Margheritas pwns it. But it's cool.
Alright, I'll swing by Dunkin Donuts on my way over.
Hm, I really need to get a battery in the Miata...

this is the parking lot:
It's KC's pizza; literally 2 minutes away. I like the stuff, beats anything I have in my area. Hell I live across the street from a pizza joint and I never go to it.
from: 73 Albe Drive, Ste. 1, Newark, DE 19702 (ACA Performance, LLC) to: 784 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702 (K C's Pizza) - Google Maps

Ok, I know which shopping center that is, I go by it to get to the business park. Not bad pizza overall, although Margherita's pwns all in the area. Not really worth the difference in distance, though. I actually stopped to grab many a bite at that pizza place back when I'd haul loads of scrap to the recycling yard 1-2 times a week. The kick of it is that the damn gas station there doesn't have diesel, so I could make an excuse to go farther out of my way to get diesel and a bite to eat as well, which was good, since I was an hourly employee, and excuses to waste time were awesome.
I'd definitely say that pizza in this area, in general, beats the crap out of anything in the Baltimore/DC/NOVA area. Having a large college population helps the pizza market a lot. "Average" for us is "pretty damn good" for your (formerly my) area.
Alright, enough of this tangent.
I'm helping out the FSAE guys with the lawnmower tuneup fundraiser today (and the rest of the weekend) so I'll talk to them about the details of maybe getting one of the cars out.
Crap, I gotta be there in less than an hour, so I need to get off my *** and take our fat *** (21 lbs+) cat to the vet.

As it turns out, strangely enough, after resetting all my fuel/ignition trims and zeroing out all wastegate functions, this new single turbo ended up with the same EXACT map as my TT's after I tuned it, wastegate settings and all. Strange.
I forgot what torque in a miata felt like. Very fun!
