my best timed lap was from session #2. my 3rd session was in de3/4 and it was fun but no clean laps, and my oil cooler line busted, ending my day. even in session 2 i hit traffic every lap, but got one that only had to stay offline a little for mike in that monster blk. z06 to get by, i didn't wanna ruin his lap.
sunday, not part of the challenge, but for tt, i was able to get a clean lap with my kuhmo v710's but they werent balanced right apparently. above 100mph it felt like the starship enterprise on warp 10 or whatever. scary, but they did feel stickier. i think they're gonna be great for cresson once i get them balanced right.

don't, it takes a while to really figure out a track. i usually take about 2-3 events to really feel like i know the track. there's little tricks to some corners at every track that can cost or save you seconds. hhr is one of those hard to read tracks. some corners have you thinking your car isn't setup right, but after changing everything, you realize it was your line. those corners require an unconventional line and literally shave seconds off your lap time once you figure them out. that's why data aquisition (and learning how to make sense of it) is one of the most important mods you can make.

Like spoolin said, I'd run a track you are familar with before you jump into any drastic changes.
Data aq. will definitely show you where you left time onthe table. I got my traqmate off of ebay a few years back for $600. Yall may get lucky and find one cheap too.
Lowest retail I have seen is at Saferacer w/ the specmiata 10% discount. They ran a 15% off over the holidays, but that was the only time i have ever seen the 15% off.

Its funny how suddenly I've become a really shitty driver so everyone can kiss my ******* *** and eat my ****. Who wants to buy a heavy, overpriced, underdriven green miata?

Did most people who ran yesterday have experience on that track? I'm curious because I'm tired of getting flamed, lol. I'm crying like a ------, who wants to kick me?
There was a thread over on the SM board about SM vs ITA cars. There was a good point there about the draft in SM. They can freight train better than ANY non-spec class, since their cornering speeds are all more or less equal. Different types of cars can't draft well, because of differing braking and cornering loads. Plus, when you're dealing with a TT type of atmosphere, being close enough to draft isn't really acceptable, anyway.
I think you guys did really well. Frankly, there isn't as much car development, in general, as someone like Savington has. The weather, etc etc. I thought I cut a fast lap at LRP on Halloween. It was as cold as it was for you guys. It was the first session of the day, then it started raining. Turns out, I was 5 or so seconds off the SM record. I will do better in July, rest assured. I'm sure all of you will be faster next time.
We ran the track reversed with it cut short and a tire wall obstical last year for the lemons race. This was a whole new expirience though. You had **** going wrong with your car and all that jazz. Don't get too discouraged.
I really wish I had my bar in so I could have been nice and warm in my car instead of sitting on the bleacers.
SO were there really only two DD miatas out there? I know Pauls mazdaspeed is his DD was the other street class car a DD too?

here is some fun peak g-loading:

and this is how you enter a decreasing radius corner like a man:

lol
I bed we'd have much more grip if it were warm out.
