Best TX Miata Challenge video ever

I came in last place in Unlimited, as I predicted, but I prefer to think of it as Fourth Place in a field of twelve.

Enjoy the video.

After my talk with emilio...you and I aren't going to do anything if we don't gut the cars.

The more I think about it, I like to drive my car on the street, and I'm going to continue competing, but I'm going to have fun and not sweat the lap times so much. I'm going to smile for a change and be happy with what I have...which is a Ferrari substitute.

Great video Steve! Your car looks great and seems to be running great! Have you had to do anything to the engine since last summer after I fixed your crank key?

Yeah, he was definitely pushing it to its limits, and taking his line all the way out to within (what looked like) inches of the barrier. Looked like he was having a blast too!

here's a vid clip of my buddy josh in his 1uz powered corolla battling with me. this is why he built that beast. he's just waiting on some wheels to run some r-comps. he was hauling *** on some 195/55/15 dunlop star specs!

YouTube - ae86battle@msrh.wmv

i've got a few clips i'm putting together that are cool. but i'll have to wait till tomorrow to post it. my computer's too slow.

I just went through and classified my car as-is. I'd be at 8.75 points with a harness/seat/extinguisher...street class baby. Damn I wish I lived by you guys.

Yup, that's what I was talking about. I'm throwing down the early limp-wristed gauntlet. I'll run 1:04 flat at Lime Rock July 9, unlimited. Not that great, considering SM quali is usually 1:02, and Scott Sharp could probably do 0:55 in my car, but the smack talk has to start somewhere, right?

Oh, and I'll buy turbotim track lunch, if he comes. Bromance, again.

Add this to your calendars! Harris hill road will be hosting a TX. Miata challenge during one of their chrono-x events on Sep. 11th 2010. This will give us a month between events in Aug. and Oct. so you guys won't get overloaded or have trouble getting time off work etc. Like to thank Eric @ HHR for being so gracious with the invite. Also, get out to the chrono-x events before Sept. They are sure to be a blast and good practice for those that haven't enjoyed that track yet. I'll be at some for sure.

I was thinking about doing that event, but looks like I will be snowboarding instead. Supposed to instruct there the weekend after though for the Porsche event.
