Is tuning on the track an actual thing? Like riding shotgun with a laptop lol

 

Typically first car goes out at 9 with driver's meeting at 8-ish.

I'm pretty sure they're not letting you out on track with a laptop loose in the car. SD card-based data logging is a very reasonable way to do things, though.

Obviously I never tuned at laguna so I have no idea.
I've tuned many times at the drag strip, they also don't allow that but we just put the laptop under seat then pull it out when staging lol

 

I meant if you had ever ridden on a road course.

If I have issues at the track I start a log with my phone, do a few laps. Then pull it onto my computer in the pits.

 

Maybe if you sit on the laptop, but the track stewards are not going to be happy if they catch you with something like that loose in the car.

 

No loose items in the car (minus the driver), is the rule. If he could velcro it securely and not be fiddling with him upon track entry, it (the concept) would fly, but hopefully not the cpu.

 

What group is everyone driving in? I was going to instruct both days, but looks like A-group on Saturday only for me.

Perhaps adding some info on our cars might help too? Taking some liberties to input a few of the cars I know from build threads.

 

I filled in a couple I was reasonably sure about and tagged a few of you to fill in the rest.

Has anyone actually received any sort of confirmation or schedule for this thing? The last email I got was confirming that they received payment, and a random email from Rick Weldon about the Saturday Party/Dinner I didn't sign up for.

 

Alright my schedule is confirmed. I'll be leaving Wednesday, driving down the coast. Will be in sanfran thursday night. But will probably be doing vacationy things with Hailey instead of car things. Will make it to monterey for the BBQ on friday.

Camping at Laguna friday/saturday. Spot 139. Come chill if you want.

Half day at the track sunday chilling with people, and riding in vendor cars. Heading out friday and bombing up to norcal to camp.

Aidan, how did you find out what spot # you have? My camping reservation didn't say.
