Bad Driving Pics and Videos Thread - Asshattery, Carnage, Stupidity

[armchair_drive]If it were me, I would've given the turn up at ~0:17 with that much steering input. You're at track out on the rumble strips with the wheel turn left. Give up the steering input and drive off the track parallel to it, lift throttle and then ease back on. [/armchair_drive] I realize it's easy for me to throw that out just watching the video. But I have gotten away with this exact driving error countless times. I always go through a list of things to blame when I screw up and in the end it's always the same. It's a decision I made that put me there. Yep, I was the one at the wheel.

^ what he said
I was going to post this exact same thing.
At 0:18 you have way too much steering in the wheel. The fact that you had that much steering in the front tires when the right rear hit the dirt is probably the leading factor of why the car went around so quickly.
At the instant you realized you were going to run wide you should have straightened out the wheel and drove straight off into the grass/dirt. I wouldn't have even lifted off the throttle fully until the car was 4 wheels off. After driving straight off you would then need to "ride-it-out" and try to get back on track as safety and as smoothly as possible.
Basically, if you realize your going off you want to do so as smoothly and with as little change in your driver inputs as possible. Lifting off throttle abruptly or jabbing the brake can also cause you to loose control.

No arguments. This was a multiple choice question.
a) avoid crash this way
b) avoid crash this other way
c) avoid crash yet another way
d) avoid crash this other other way
e) none of the above, crash
Edit: It's been nine months now and I probably still visualize the moments of this crash in the last 10 seconds of this video at least 5 times a day. It sticks with you.

Not sure if this is what you are after, but it says carnage.
This is going to be an expensive tour egg repair, why anyone would want to tour around in an egg.
I think this car was actually parked in a garage.

Bad time for a booty call.
I lol'd when he crossed just behind the pickup that was leaving the hotel. Then I wondered why he didn't cut the engine and stop somewhere and walk back to the track. You know you don't have any brakes so stop the damn car instead of taking the grand tour and risking other people and property.
